Department of English Literature Launches Inaugural Issue of Academic Journal

The Department of English Literature, Government College University Faisalabad , proudly announces the publication of the inaugural issue of Critique: Journal of English Language and Literature, an open-access academic journal dedicated to advancing research and scholarly discourse in the fields of English language and literature.

The launch of the journal marks a significant milestone in GCUF’s commitment to promoting academic excellence, research culture, and intellectual engagement. The Founding Editorial Collective expressed its sincere gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for his generous administrative support and encouragement. Heartiest congratulations to Dr. Liaqat Ali Waseem Government College University Faisalabad on securing a prestigious PKR 4.0 Million RASTA Research Grant.
His research project, “A Geospatial Framework for Deploying Climate-Resilient Peri-Urban Agriculture through Managed Aquifer Recharge Zoning,” has been selected for funding under the RASTA–PIDE Competitive Research Grants Programme.

Vice Chancellor GCUF Commends QEC, BIC and ORIC Teams on Remarkable Progress in HEC Rankings

Vice Chancellor Government College University Faisalabad 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐮𝐟-𝐈-𝐀𝐳𝐚𝐦, extended heartfelt congratulations to the 𝑸𝑬𝑪, 𝑩𝑰𝑪, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑶𝑹𝑰𝑪 teams on their remarkable progress in the recently announced HEC evaluations. He appreciated the dedicated efforts of the faculty and staff, calling the achievement a result of teamwork, commitment, and academic excellence across GCUF

The Vice Chancellor noted that the evaluation covered July 2024 to June 2025 and expressed hope for even greater progress in the upcoming 2025–26 cycle.
Prof. Dr. Rauf-I-Azam emphasized strategic planning and directed the concerned departments to prepare comprehensive roadmaps for achieving “W” rankings in all domains during the 2026–27 evaluation cycle.

Among Y category ORICs across the country, this is the highest score.
