20 players from the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) visited the headquarters of the Sindh Police Special Security Unit (SSU) and highly praised the state law enforcement agency's expertise.
The delegation included both local players including cricketers from Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi, as well as foreign players such as Martin Guptill, Johan Botha and Ben Cutting. Other Pakistani players included in the delegation include Umar Ghul, Saeed Ajmal, Faheem Ashraf, Umar Akmal, Hyder Ali, Mohammad Haris, Danish Aziz, Ruman Rais and Abrar Ahmed.

A Pakistani resident in the United States has anonymously "donated $30 million to the Turkish embassy" to victims of earthquakes in Turkey and Syria that have claimed thousands of lives and destroyed infrastructure in both countries due to natural disasters.
A catastrophic magnitude 7.8 earthquake shook parts of Turkey and Syria early Monday morning as volunteers and governments scrambled to provide relief and rescue to those with little hope of finding survivors. .
The Pakistani donation reported by the Turkish media was also confirmed by Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif.

On Saturday, the government approved a 8 rupee per unit increase in residential and commercial electricity rates, local media reported.
Basic rates and quarterly electricity rates are both increasing, and measures are being taken to eliminate subsidies.
It has become known that the government is prepared to withdraw subsidies provided to the export sector. Tariffs on adjusted quarterly items will increase in stages.

The Pakistani rupee strengthened against the US dollar on Thursday reports that negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on a bailout program were under way.
The local currency gained Rs 2.82 or 1.04 per cent in the interbank market to close at Rs 270.5 against the US dollar, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled the Pakistan Super League (PSL) trophy at a ceremony in Lahore on Thursday.
The Trophy Ceremony was held at the historic Shalimar Gardens, attended by PCB Steering Committee Chairman Najam Sethi, as well as privileged holders and elite cricketers. The 24 carat "Supernova Trophy" is made in Pakistan and showcases the craftsmanship of local artisans. PCB said in a statement.

Pakistan will not participate in a regional stakeholder meeting on Afghanistan this week in Moscow, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said Thursday.
FO spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch told a weekly press briefing that Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan are coordinating on some important issues and that "we do not want to disclose any specific agendas being discussed by the three countries".
