Attending the Hashoo Stars launching event at PC Rawalpindi was truly inspiring. Witnessing the remarkable success stories of Hashoo Alumni and the impactful work carried out by the Hashoo Foundation was truly uplifting.

Meeting Mr. Murtaza Hashwani, Chairman of Hashoo Group and Hashoo Foundation, along with the cooperative team, was a fantastic experience. We are excited about the potential collaboration between CDRS and Hashoo Foundation in the near future InshaAllah.

HELP CDRS REBUILD QUAID E MILAT MIDDLE COMMUNITY SCHOOL in CHORBAT VALLEY GILGIT-BALTISTAN

On July 1st team CDRS visited Quaid e Milat Middle Level School in Chorbat Valley, Ghanche District of Khaplu, Gilgit-Baltistan. We responded to a request from the school management, students, and local community to visit and renovate the building, and to construct classrooms for the students who currently study outside on stones during harsh weather in both winter and summer.

This school serves 180 dedicated students with a team of eight devoted educators and one non-teaching staff member. Located in a remote region near the Pakistan-India border, the valley lies to the southeast of Nubra Valley in Ladakh, India, encompassing the northeastern portion of the Shyok Valley. Chorbat Valley experiences a challenging climate with minimal rainfall and exceptionally harsh winters due to its proximity to the Siachen Glacier and other imposing peaks and glaciers in the vicinity.

Despite many challenges, the students work hard and follow their dreams without basic learning resources such as furniture, stationery, sports equipment, clean water, and washrooms. Remarkably, the school’s graduates have gone on to achieve significant success, with eight becoming engineers, two MBBS doctors, and one earning a Fulbright scholarship. Every student aspires to become successful and help their community.

We received a warm welcome from the students and staff. We visited the classes, interacted with the students, and our engineers conducted a thorough survey for the boundary wall, new classrooms, washrooms, water and sanitary connections, and wall painting.
