Phander is considered to be the most beautiful valley of Gilgit Baltistan.Its well known for Trout fish found there. It is 170 KM away from Gilgit city.
The Phander Valley is situated in District Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan.The name Phander is derived from two Khowar words i.e "Phan" means palm...because the area is plain like palm and the second one is "Dar" it means deep.....When you will travel toward Phander , you wil see the area is deep and plain. The people living here used to speak Khowar language.This language is spoken in the Shangla and Chitral district.
