● As Intolerance Rises: Can Sindh Preserve its Culture of Coexistence?

» Sindh has long been celebrated for its rich traditions of Sufism, pluralism and interfaith coexistence. From the teachings of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and Lal Shahbaz Qalandar to the shared social life of communities in places like Mithi, the province has historically symbolized cultural harmony, tolerance and mutual respect across religious and ethnic boundaries.

Yet in recent years, incidents of religious intolerance, extremism and social polarization have raised growing concerns about the future of this shared cultural ethos.

This session explores the realities behind these developments: What social, political and ideological factors are contributing to rising intolerance in Sindh? And most importantly, how can Sindh safeguard its long-standing culture of coexistence in increasingly polarized times?

» This beginner-friendly acting and theatre series by Qasim Ovais is designed as a starting point, not with heavy theory or rigid rules, but through play, movement, and real human interaction.

Participants will learn through theatre and improvisation games, explore characters in a safe and supportive environment, and discover what acting actually feels like from the inside. Instead of memorising lines or chasing “perfect” performances, the focus is on presence, imagination, and honest expression.

No prior experience is required. There is no performance pressure, no fear of mistakes, and no expectation to “get it right.” Just curiosity, play, and the joy of discovering your voice on stage.

Whether you’re theatre-curious or simply looking for a creative space to explore, this series offers a welcoming doorway into the world of acting.
