🆘 It’s 2025, but some of us are still struggling for basic human dignity. 🆘

Have you ever wondered what life is like for the Christian minority colonies right here in Islamabad? Not the fancy parts, not the headlines — but the forgotten corners where families wake up every day to broken roads, no clean water, power outages, and zero healthcare.

📉 These communities are living in a deep crisis. Trash piles up while kids play in the streets. Schools are falling apart. Sewage runs open. And somehow, this is all just “normal” for them.

It’s heartbreaking to see how little attention is given to these areas — as if the people there don’t matter. But they do matter. They’re hardworking, peaceful, and proud citizens of Pakistan. Yet they’re denied the very basics most of us take for granted.

We can’t keep ignoring this. 💔
Let’s raise our voices, share their stories, and push for real change. Equal rights and dignity shouldn't be negotiable — no matter your religion or background. ✊🏽✝️🇵🇰

A Cry for Justice from the Shadows of Islamabad 🇵🇰

In the heart of Pakistan’s capital, just minutes away from the grand structures of power and prestige, lies a forgotten slum—a place where the cries of the poor echo unheard, and the hopes of the marginalized fade under the weight of injustice.

This is an Islamic Republic. A country built on the promise of justice, equality, and compassion. Yet, in this very land, there are citizens—human beings, families, children—who live without access to clean water, stable electricity, proper shelter, education, or safety. These are not luxuries. These are basic human rights.

A resident bravely filed a complaint to the Capital Development Authority (CDA)—a desperate plea about the open drains running beside their homes, dangerous naked telecom wires dangling above thatched roofs, unaffordable WAPDA electricity bills, and the constant power outages. Restaurants in Jinnah Market shamelessly dump their waste near the colony, creating a toxic, unsafe environment for small children to grow up in.

And yet... no one from the government, no "supreme" authority, has stepped in.

The Christian community, already a minority, lives in fear—fear that speaking up will only bring harassment, not help. So they suffer in silence, trapped between poverty and persecution.

This is not just neglect. This is abandonment.
This is not governance. This is injustice.

To every government official, to every citizen with a voice: Where is your humanity?
Will we continue to ignore our own people simply because they are poor? Because they are a minority?

We demand dignity. We demand justice. We demand that every Pakistani—regardless of religion, caste, or class—be given the basic rights they deserve.

Share this. Speak up. Be the voice for those who have been silenced for too long.
Because silence is no longer an option.

Pathan (Sahila), Khanna Pull, New Shkrial katchi abadi, Shams Colony Bhangra Road, Rawat, Sumbal at Korak Town, Junejo Colony, Mohriyan and NIH Colony. Five similar colonies are slated to be demolished under phase III. They are: Bheka Syedan F-11, Sectors G-12, F-12, E-12 behind Khushian Wali Sarkar and I-11/2 Bakra and Surain. In phase IV, the slums to be removed are located at Sectors G-7/1, G-7/2 (66 quarters), G-7/3-2 (48 quarters), F-6/2, F-7/4 France Colony, Hansa Colony G-8/1, Essa Nagri I-9/1 and Muslim Colony, Bari Imam. Unfortunately Christian parliamentarians do not bother to speak in the favor of Christians instead presenting “all well” reports. In 15 katchi abadis dwellers are Christians in the capital city and it is fear that if CDA takes action against these slum areas around 150,000 people will be on the roads. The action will displace the Christian community during the freezing cold season.
