Clear answers. The right place to start.
If you are thinking about setting up an EV charging station in Pakistan but are not sure where to start, you are not alone.
Pakistan's EV charging infrastructure is growing. Entrepreneurs and investors across the country are looking at locations, running the numbers, and taking the first steps. And every week, people reach out to NEECA Pakistan with the same questions.
What are the registration requirements?
What documents do I need?
How does the process actually work?
These are the right questions to be asking. And now there is a proper place to ask them.
National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority is launching EV Access Hours, a dedicated support window where you can bring your queries directly to our EV technical team and get clear, structured guidance.
Here is how it works.
Fill out a short form at bit.ly/EVAccessHours.
Tell us your name and what you need to know. Straight forward queries get answered by email. Anything that needs a real conversation gets a 20 minute session with our team, booked at a time that works for you.
Sessions run every Tuesday and Thursday from 2 PM to 4 PM.

Industry accounts for one of the largest shares of Pakistan’s energy consumption. It is also where the greatest untapped efficiency potential sits.
National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority in collaboration with Danish energy experts under the Strategic Sector Cooperation (hashtag ) Programme, recently conducted energy audits and technical assessments at Group’s Kasur Cluster.
The assessments looked at operational systems across selected facilities to find specific opportunities to cut energy use, lower costs, and reduce carbon emissions without slowing production. The engagement also focused on knowledge exchange and capacity building, drawing on Denmark's decades of experience in industrial energy transition.
This is a government-to-government initiative. Denmark brings technical expertise built over decades of industrial energy reform. Pakistan brings the industrial scale and the urgency of a country working to reduce its energy import bill and meet its climate commitments.
Packages Group’s proactive participation in advancing sustainability and promoting cleaner industrial practices reflects strong industry leadership.

The energy efficiency conversations Pakistan's textile sector has been waiting for finally happened.
Yesterday, ambassadors, policy experts, and technical leaders didn't just share a room, they shared a mission. National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority, Danish Energy Agency, GIZ Pakistan, and Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) came together for a workshop on Energy Audits, Energy Management & Life Cycle Analysis ( ) that Pakistan's textile sector truly needed.
Because real change happens when the people who write the policies sit next to the people running the factories. That's exactly what yesterday was.
The conversations touched on:
✅ What energy audits in Pakistan's textile industry are actually revealing
✅ How Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) is reshaping how we measure environmental impact
✅ What our national policies and action plans look like, and where the gaps are
✅ A concrete roadmap for decarbonizing one of Pakistan's most vital industries
From NEECA, our own Mr. Muneeb Ahmad, Sr. Assistant Director Industries, took the floor to walk the room through Pakistan's energy efficiency policies, strategies, and action plans for the industrial sector.
Practical. Grounded. Necessary.
Together with our partners, NEECA is taking Pakistan's energy efficiency story forward.
A heartfelt thank you to H.E. Maja Mortensen - Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan | H.E. Some buildings consume energy. Others quietly conserve it.
At the National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (NEECA), we believe that promoting energy efficiency across Pakistan must begin with our own institutions.
That is why has undertaken a comprehensive Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC 2023) Compliance Assessment of its building in Islamabad.
The initiative includes a detailed energy audit and technical assessment of the building’s HVAC systems, lighting, building envelope, appliances, and overall energy consumption patterns against the requirements of Pakistan’s ECBC 2023.
The objective is clear: to identify practical, cost-effective opportunities for improving energy performance, strengthen compliance with national standards, and demonstrate how buildings can operate more efficiently without compromising comfort or functionality.
in energy efficiency is not only about developing policies and regulations — it is also about setting an example through action.
As moves toward more sustainable and climate-responsive buildings, initiatives like these reinforce the importance of accountability, innovation, and institutional commitment in advancing the country’s energy transition.

Some buildings quietly do their job so well, you barely notice.
You walk into a space that feels comfortable. Not too hot, not too cold. The lighting is easy on the eyes. The air flows smoothly. Everything works the way it should.
That comfort is not by chance. It is by design.
Energy-efficient buildings are designed with careful attention to insulation, lighting, ventilation, and cooling systems to create spaces that are comfortable, practical, and efficient.
In Pakistan, National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority's Energy Conservation Building Code ( ) provides guidelines for designing buildings that use energy more efficiently while improving indoor comfort and reducing operational costs.
When buildings are planned with energy efficiency in mind, they do more than save electricity. They create healthier, more sustainable spaces for the people who use them every day.
As continues to develop its future buildings and infrastructure, energy-efficient design will play an increasingly important role in shaping smarter and more sustainable cities.
If you are involved in the design, construction, or use of commercial buildings, consider asking whether energy efficiency principles and ECBC guidelines have been incorporated into the project.

What’s one thing you switched off this week, that you usually don’t?
Small actions are adding up across Pakistan.
A teacher in Lahore started turning off her geyser a little earlier.
A shopkeeper in Rawalpindi now switches off his illuminated signboard at closing time.
Simple changes, real impact on energy use.
Now it’s your turn.
Tell us in the comments: What did you switch off this week?
We’ll feature the most interesting responses next week.

We waste energy without even realising it.
A room sits empty with the fan still running. A fridge is pushed against the wall with no breathing space. An AC is set just a little too cold. These aren't big mistakes but together they add up to massive national energy waste.
Pakistan cannot afford it. Neither can the planet.
National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority is here to change that. One home at a time, three simple checks are all it takes to make a real difference.
Spot your biggest energy-wasting appliance at home. Take a photo and share it in the comments, We’ll guide you on improving its efficiency.

Conservation is not a plan in progress. It is already in practice. Across public offices, energy discipline is now routine.
Unoccupied rooms are powered down. Corridor lighting is reduced. Cooling is limited to necessity, not excess.
Operationally, the system has adapted:
🔹 A 50% rotational work-from-home model is in effect.
🔹 Fridays are observed as off to reduce load on infrastructure.
🔹 Fewer active workspaces.
🔹 Reduced commuting.
🔹 Lower cumulative energy demand.
This standard is already guiding our workplaces.
Let’s bring the same mindful energy use into our homes.
