Labour isn’t just work, it’s the courage to build when nothing is certain.
This Labour Day, we recognize not only the workforce that powers economies, but also the founders, creators, and teams who are building from the ground up at NIC Islamabad.
Behind every startup is unseen effort late nights, tough decisions, and relentless belief.
At NIC Islamabad, we stand with those who are not just working jobs, but creating opportunities, driving innovation, and shaping the future of Pakistan.
Because today, labour is not just about effort it’s about impact.

What does it really take to invest in startups & think like an investor?
At NIC Islamabad’s Investor Education Workshop, participants explored the complete journey of startup investing from understanding the Pakistan startup ecosystem and the AI opportunity, to learning how to spot the right deals, assess founders, and navigate risk effectively.
The session covered essential investor frameworks including TRL & risk profiles, valuation and cap tables, term sheets, due diligence, post-investment cadence, and exit pathways giving attendees a practical, end-to-end perspective on how investment decisions are made.
Led by Sayyed Ahmad Masud, Project Director NIC Islamabad, the workshop combined real case studies with actionable insights to help participants approach startup investing with clarity and structure.
This session wasn’t designed to make you an investor overnight but to help you understand the mindset behind one.
And this is just the beginning.
More Investor Education sessions are on the way.

A resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem requires a strong bridge between academic theory and practical ex*****on.
Recently, NIC Islamabad had the opportunity to host postgraduate students from the Innovation & Entrepreneurship program at NUST Business School. The students visited with a clear objective: to look beyond the classroom and understand the mechanics of how startups are actually built and scaled.
To provide a transparent look into our operations, we walked the cohort through our core incubation methodology and our approach to cultivating a high-performance founder community. Following a tour of the facility, several of our current founders presented their ventures, offering the students an unvarnished look at the real-world challenges and grit required to succeed in today’s market.
We appreciate the thoughtful engagement from the NUST cohort. Strengthening the alignment between our universities and incubators remains essential for the long-term maturity of Pakistan’s innovation landscape.
