Shariah Academy Holds Hajj Training Workshop at IIUI
The Shariah Academy of the International Islamic University Islamabad, in collaboration with Maʿas‑Salamah, organized a Hajj training workshop at Faisal Masjid Campus to guide intending pilgrims on the essential rituals and procedures of Hajj. Scholars delivered lectures supported by practical demonstrations to enhance understanding.
Around 100 to 150 participants attended the session and actively engaged in discussions, appreciating the initiative and calling for more such programs in the future.

IIUI Students Participate in Pakistan-China Cultural Event at PNCA
Islamabad: Students of International Islamic University Islamabad participated in a Pakistan-China cultural event held at Pakistan National Council of the Arts, organized by the Pakistan-China Cultural Center of the Chinese Embassy along with partner organizations. The delegation was led by Director Student Affairs (M) Dr. H. Ghufran Ahmad, while Chinese students of IIUI actively contributed to different segments, with Mr. Muhammad Mousa serving as stage secretary.
Ms. Farah Naz Akbar attended as Chief Guest and Mr. Chen Peng as Guest of Honor, both appreciating IIUI’s role in promoting cultural engagement. Mr. Chen Peng also expressed interest in organizing a seminar at IIUI to mark 75 years of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.

IIUI’s Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering Secures NTC Approval for AI and Cyber Security Engineering Technology Programs
International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has secured approval from the National Technology Council (NTC) to launch Bachelor of Engineering Technology programs in Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security through its Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The programs will be offered as full-time, eight-semester degrees with an annual intake of 160 students per program.
The initiative reflects IIUI’s continued emphasis on emerging technologies and aligns with the vision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), to equip students with relevant skills for evolving technological and industrial needs.

IRI Postdoctoral Fellowship Workshop Concludes at IIUI
The Islamic Research Institute of International Islamic University Islamabad concluded the first workshop of its Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme, part of a structured initiative launched to promote advanced research in Humanities and Social Sciences from an Islamic perspective. The programme includes intensive workshops, research publications, conference presentations, and peer-reviewed projects, with 100 fellows selected on merit for the current session.

Portuguese Ambassador Visits Faisal Masjid, Appreciates Islamic Heritage
H.E. Paulo Domingues, Ambassador of Portugal to Pakistan, visited Faisal Masjid along with his delegation, where he appreciated the mosque’s architecture and showed keen interest in the rare Qur’anic manuscripts. He also listened to Qur’an recitation by students of the Hifz department and praised the spiritual and cultural significance of the institution.
On the occasion, Muhammad Ilyas, Director General of Dawah Academy, highlighted the importance of such visits in promoting cultural understanding and strengthening ties between Pakistan and Portugal. The ambassador was presented with a commemorative shield and copies of Qur’an translations at the end of the visit.

IIUI, IWMB Conduct Mock Exercise to Enhance Campus Safety Against Potential Leopard Threat
The International Islamic University Islamabad, in collaboration with the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board, organized a mock exercise on campus to enhance preparedness in response to a potential leopard sighting.
The exercise was aimed at ensuring the safety of students, faculty, and staff by developing coordinated response strategies and raising awareness about appropriate conduct in the event of an encounter with wildlife. Officials emphasized preventive measures and practical guidelines to minimize risk and avoid confrontation with the animal.
During the activity, participants were briefed on safety protocols, including maintaining distance, avoiding panic, and promptly informing authorities in case of any sighting. Basic training was also provided to help the university community respond responsibly and effectively under such circumstances.
Security personnel of the university actively participated in the exercise, which included a controlled field drill to simulate tracking and locating the animal under expert supervision.

Special Prayer at Faisal Masjid Emphasizes Unity and Peace
A special prayer was offered at Faisal Masjid following the Friday sermon, led by President IIUI Professor Dr. Ahmad Saad Alahmed, seeking continued peace, stability, and prosperity for Pakistan, and success for the Government and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir (COAS & CDF) in advancing national security and global peace. The sermon highlighted unity, solidarity, and adherence to Qur’anic guidance in addressing challenges facing the Muslim Ummah, while the large congregation reflected a collective spirit of faith and responsibility. Visiting dignitaries later called on the President IIUI to discuss avenues of cooperation.

IIUI Installs Water Coolers for Students
The President of IIUI, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, inaugurated newly installed drinking water coolers under a Saudi-supported initiative aimed at improving campus facilities.
A total of 33 coolers with advanced filtration systems have been installed in the first phase, ensuring clean and safe drinking water for students, faculty, and staff. More units are planned in the next phase to further expand access across the campus.
The President appreciated the administrative team’s efforts and emphasized the importance of quality facilities for student wellbeing.
