PSB welcomes the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) decision imposing lifetime ban on Hafiz Imran Butt and Irfan Butt of Weightlifting Federation for anti-doping violations.

PSB had already taken decisive action in November 2025, reflecting its firm commitment against doping.

Under PSB’s zero tolerance policy, these individuals will not be allowed to participate in any sports activity in Pakistan in any capacity.

Full implementation of the decision will be ensured.

Clean sport. Clear accountability. No compromise.



پاکستان اسپورٹس بورڈ کورٹ آف آربٹریشن فار اسپورٹس (سی اے ایس) کے فیصلے کا خیر مقدم کرتا ہے جس کے تحت ویٹ لفٹنگ فیڈریشن کے حافظ عمران بٹ اور عرفان بٹ پر تاحیات پابندی عائد کی گئی ہے۔

پی ایس بی نے نومبر 2025 میں ہی کارروائی کر دی تھی۔

ڈوپنگ پر زیرو ٹالرنس، ایسے افراد کو پاکستان میں کسی بھی کھیل کا حصہ نہیں بننے دیا جائے گا۔

فیصلے پر مکمل عمل درآمد یقینی بنایا جائے گا۔

PSB directs all national federations to submit 4-year development plans within 90 days.
Financial support will now be linked with performance & compliance.
Major reforms approved in the 36th PSB Board Meeting, including:
✔️ Long-Term Athlete Development Programme
✔️ Increased budget proposal
✔️ Strong governance & anti-doping measures

The 36th Board Meeting of PSB was held at the Committee Room of PSB on 31 March 2026.

DG PSB Mr. Yasir Pirzada presented the Half-Yearly Performance Report, highlighting key reforms, governance improvements, and major achievements across sports development.

The Board endorsed the report and appreciated PSB’s efforts in strengthening institutional performance and enhancing Pakistan’s international sports standing. 🇵🇰🏆
