The Parliamentary SDGs Secretariat at the National Assembly of Pakistan is first of its kind establishment in any parliament of the world.
National Parliamentary Secretariat on SDGs ensures parliamentary discourse on sustainable development through effective oversight, representation and legislative interventions. It is dedicated to oversee SDGs and thereof related development targets through regular parliamentary oversight, effective legislation and meaningful representation of electorates.

The UN Pakistan Resident Coordinator called on the Convener today -
They discussed the current status of SDGs in Pakistan and chalked out strategies for future collaborations, especially in terms of capacitating MPs and building knowledge around the SDGs framework. The Convener emphasised that the Taskforce should remain committed to playing constructive role in accelerating the progress to achieve these goals.

Mr. Ali Kemal, Chief SDGs presented a brief snapshot of the current progress on SDG Indicators, the ongoing projects & challenges faced in data reporting.

پاکستان میں اقوام متحدہ کے سربراہ جناب جولین ہارنس سمیت تمام ذیلی اداروں کے سربراہان ، پاکستان کی وزارت خارجہ، پلاننگ اینڈ ڈیویلپمنٹ، اکنامک آفیٸرز، اور صوبائ حکومتوں کے نماٸندوں نے بھی شرکت کی۔
