Belarus at the 17th BRICS Summit: For a Fair World and Digital Sovereignty

At the 17th BRICS Summit, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov clearly outlined our country’s position:

“BRICS is not just a coalition. It is a strategic platform for the future!”

🛑 In an era when the old unipolar system shows its weaknesses, Belarus advocates for the creation of a fair, multipolar world where decisions are made collectively, based on equality and mutual respect.

💬 In his speech, Minister Ryzhenkov highlighted:

🔹 BRICS is becoming a pillar of global financial independence
🔹 Belarus supports settlements in national currencies and the development of its own payment infrastructure
🔹 Belarus opposes technological monopolies and digital colonialism

💡 Belarus proposes:

— integration of central bank digital currencies
— development of secure financial messaging channels
— and to become a logistics hub for Eurasia, leveraging blockchain, IoT, and AI

📩 Belarus has already submitted an official application to join the BRICS New Development Bank.

The 2025 Joint Report by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Russia on the human rights situation in selected countries has been published.

This report demonstrates the close cooperation between our countries in the field of international human rights advocacy and aims to highlight global challenges to fundamental freedoms.

❗ Western states, under the guise of protecting human rights, continue to interfere in the internal affairs of sovereign countries with independent foreign policies and traditional values.

The examples cited in the report confirm the urgent need for joint efforts to counter neocolonial thinking, racism, and the abuse of international law for narrow political gain.

📌 Belarus remains committed to respectful dialogue in the field of human rights cooperation.

The Republic of Belarus is preparing to celebrate Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus (Republic Day) on July 3.

This day is not only a public holiday, but also a time of remembrance for those who gave their lives for a modern and prosperous Belarus.

Touching upon the historical truth, it must be said that N**i Germany inflicted enormous damage on Belarus during the Great Patriotic War.

Belarusians, one of the nations most affected during the Second World War, have not received fair compensation from the German authorities for the damage caused to our country and its people.

For reference. According to preliminary calculations, the damage caused by the N**i criminals of the BSSR during the Great Patriotic War exceeds 43.5 thousand tons of gold, which as of October 2022 is equivalent to over 2.35 trillion US dollars. The amount is calculated without taking into account information about previously unknown affected settlements on the territory of Belarus and does not contain data on damage caused by the export of cultural property.

It is regrettable that in recent years the German authorities have been striving to fundamentally revise their previous policy on issues of historical memory and responsibility at the political and diplomatic levels.

Currently, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus is conducting an investigation into the non-genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.

During the investigation, it was established that 578 death camps were organized on the territory of our country by the N**i invaders - places of forced detention of the population, where the N**is placed people with causing them moral and physical suffering, involving them in hard physical labor.

The investigation of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War and the post–war period is a tribute to the memory of the victims, it helps to establish and preserve historical justice, as well as strengthen the state sovereignty of the Republic of Belarus.

📍On June 11 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Metelitsa met with the Additional Secretary (Europe) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Muhammad Ayub💯👍👍👍
