Opening Ceremony of 03 Days (22-24 September,2020) Review and Development of Background Questionnaires’ Framework Workshop for National Achievement Test (NAT 2021) Large Scale Testing was held at NEAS. Experts from Quaid e Azam University, NUML, AIOU, International Islamic University, Islamabad Model Colleges and Federal College of Education participated in this review workshop. Muhammad Rafique Tahir who is simultaneously performing the challenging tasks of Joint Educational Advisor, Head National Curriculum Council and Director General Religious Education, was the chief guest of the opening ceremony. Mr. M. Rafique Tahir deliberated upon the importance of Background Questionnaires as major contributory factor while assessing students’ learning achievement. Mr. Rafique Tahir is also honoured as being tasked by Hon’ble Prime Minister Imran Khan to envision his ambitious goal of Single National Curriculum. In his concluding remarks, Mr. M. Rafique Tahir appreciated the efforts made by National Coordinator National Education Assessment System (NEAS) Mr. Muhammad Shakeel in strengthening and capacity building of NEAS. He also reiterated that NEAS is the only institution which can adequately assess the efficacy of Single National Curriculum.

A meeting of consultants of The World Bank with National Coordinator , Mr. Muhammad Shakeel along with experts of NEAS was held in NEAS office Islamabad to discuss the matters regarding adoptation of new and innovative techniques in assessment.

ٹرینڈ ان میتھ میٹکس اینڈ سائنس سٹڈیز(ٹمز)2019کے ٹیسٹ ملک بھر میں جاری،نیشنل ایجوکیشنل اسسمنٹ سسٹم کے زیر اہتمام پاکستان کے پانچ ہزار سے زائد گریڈ چہارم کے طلباء وطالبات کے لیے 142سنٹر قائم کیے گئے ہیں،پاکستان کے لیے انٹرنیشل کوالٹی کنٹرول مانیٹر ڈاکٹر احسان کا کہنا ہے کہ انشاء اللہ پاکستان کے سٹوڈنٹس نمایاں پوزیشن حاصل کریں گے،تفصیلات کے مطابق پاکستان سمیت دنیا بھر کے 60ممالک میں میں ٹمز ٹیسٹ کے ذریعے بچوں میں ریاضی اور سائنس کے رجحانات کا معیار چیک کیا جارہا ہے،پاکستان کے چاروں صوبوں سمیت وفاقی دارالحکومت میں سنٹرز قائم کئے گئے ہیں جہاں کلاس چہارم کے طلباء وطالبات سے ٹیسٹ لیے جا رہے ہیں ،ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ دیگر ممالک میں آن لائن ٹیسٹ لیے جا رہے ہیں تاہم پاکستان میں تاحال بچوں سے روائتی نظام کے تحت کاغذ کے شیٹوں پر معیار چیک کیا جا رہا ہے جس کے بعددنیا بھر سے نتائج کو پرکھنے کے بعد بہترین رجحانات کا اعلان کرے گی

As we are waiting for Pakistan's participation in TIMSS 2019, here is a link to make students of different grades prepared for Math and Science.
The link contains interactive e-questions with math and science skills for all grades, categorized according to the main topics of each subject. A variety of interactive e-questions (e.g. selecting a correct answer by clicking on it, dragging the correct answer and putting it in the right place (on an image or in a table), writing a response within a rectangle or completing interactive graphs).
If the student gives a wrong answer for any question, the website shows it and explains the correct answer.
The student can solve a question with a certain skill and practice it by answering other questions of the same skill to suit his abilities.
Teachers can make a 30-day free subscription.

Lead Master Trainers workshop started in NEAS. Representative from different federating units are participating in the workshop. Pilot Testing 2018 is scheduled in the month of November.

Background Questionnaires Review workshop, in connection with Natioanal Achievement Testing, started at NEAS today.
Experts from Universities and educational organizations in addition to NEAS team participated in the workshop. National Coordinator NEAS, Mr. Muhammad Shakeel welcomed the guests and informed them about the objectives of this activity. He expressed his hope that the participting experts will work to address modern trends in this important educational research.

In connection with Pilot Testing for National Assessment, 3-day item review workshop concluded at NEAS office in Islamabad. While addressing the participants, he congratulated the new National Coordinator NEAS Mr. Muhammad Shakeel for successful organization of this high quality workshop. He expressed hope that NEAS team will leave no stone unturned to make future assessments and specially TIMSS-2019 successful.
