Key decisions included prioritizing the filling of Keenjhar Lake for drinking water, ensuring balanced barrage operations, and maintaining fair distribution of water in Pinyari Canal up to Sujawal.

Officers have been directed to ensure strict monitoring, coordination, and timely compliance, with regular progress reports.

Secretary Irrigation Zarif Iqbal Khero held a comprehensive meeting with the delegation of the Asian Development Bank to discuss the readiness, approval process, and projected timelines for upcoming priority projects in the irrigation sector.

The 6th Meeting of the Joint working Group for implementation of reform measures under the Resilience and Sustainability Finance (RSF) was held under the Chairmanship of the Finance Secretary at the Finance Department, Karachi.

Meeting on the Recharge Pakistan Project in District Dadu (Manchar Region)

A meeting was convened to review and discuss the implementation of the Recharge Pakistan project, supported by the Green Climate Fund, USAID, and the Coca-Cola Foundation. The discussions centred on project activities in the Manchar region of District Dadu.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Secretary of Irrigation Zarif Iqbal Khero, accompanied by their expert team, conducted a comprehensive visit to Sukkur Barrage on 16th July to assess the current infrastructure, inspect ongoing projects, and strategize future rehabilitation efforts to ensure the barrage's long-term sustainability and efficiency.
