Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi is on official visit to Jordan. During the visit, the Naval Chief called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) Jordanian Armed Forces Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hnaity, Director Air Operations Brigadier General Mohammad Kh Aljaloudi and Commander Royal Jordanian Naval Force (RJNF) Colonel Hisham Khaleel Al Jarrah, in separate meetings.

Upon arrival at Royal Jordanian Naval Force Headquarters at Aqaba, the Admiral was received by Commander Royal Jordanian Naval Force (RJNF) and was presented Guard of Honor. During call on with Commander RJNF, Naval Chief was briefed on roles and capabilities of RJNF. The dignitaries dwelled on significance of close and strong bilateral naval association in diverse realms between Pakistan and Royal Jordanian Navy.

Earlier, the Naval Chief called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) Jordanian Armed Forces Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hnaity and Director of Air Operations Brigadier General Muhammad Kh Aljaloudi.

During the meetings with Jordanian Armed Force Commanders, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi dilated upon matters of mutual interest and naval collaboration. The Admiral highlighted Pakistan Navy’s focused efforts towards fight against terrorism; Counter Piracy Operations and PN initiative of Regional Maritime Security Patrol (RMSP). Commanders of Royal Jordanian Armed Forces lauded Pakistan Navy’s efforts in promoting peace and security in the maritime domain and acknowledged strong defence foundations & brotherly relations between Pakistan and Jordan.

Later, Naval Chief visited King Abdullah Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC) and witnessed a counter terrorism demonstration by Jordanian Special Forces squad.

It is expected that recent visit of the Naval Chief will further enhance and expand bilateral relations between the two countries and Defence collaboration between the Armed Forces.

PNS ZULFIQUAR VISITS GERMANY DURING OVERSEAS DEPLOYMENT

Pakistan Navy Ship ZULFIQUAR visited Hamburg, Germany, as part of Pakistan Navy overseas deployment. Upon arrival at port, the ship was warmly welcomed by Naval & Air Attache (Pakistan) Berlin and officials from German Navy.

During stay at port, the Mission Commander Commodore Syed Rizwan Khalid along with Commanding Officer PNS ZULFIQUAR Captain Rao Ahmed Imran Anwar called on Chief of Staff German Naval Command Rear Admiral Frank Lensky, Commander Hamburg Naval Command Capt Michael Giss and Chief Harbour Master of Hamburg Port Mr Pollmann. During the interaction, matters of mutual interest were discussed and contribution of Pakistan Navy to regional peace and maritime security were acknowledged. Mission Commander also conveyed well wishes from Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi for the people of of Germany in general and German Navy in particular. Later, Mission Commander and Commanding Officer also attended wreath laying ceremony at Naval Memorial Laboe Kiel. During the visit, an impressive ceremony was held onboard PNS ZULFIQUAR to celebrate 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Germany.

Earlier, PNS ZULFIQUAR participated in bilateral naval exercise with Polish Navy Ship ORP KORMORAN in Baltic Sea. The exercise encompassed advanced Maritime maneuvers including Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO) Boarding and Force Protection drills. The exercise was aimed to enhance military cooperation through naval engagement and augment interoperability between the two friendly navies.

The visit of PNS ZULFIQAR to Germany and conduct of bilateral naval drill with Poland will further foster navy to navy relations and will go a long way in strengthening diplomatic and military relations, among friendly countries.

Passing out Parade of Pak Navy Sailors Tech Batch A/2021 was held at PNS Himalaya. Commodore Kashif Munir graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Passing out Batch consisted of 585 sailors. During 17 weeks of rigorous training, basic knowledge of subjects like Ship’s Husbandry, Weapon Training, Military Discipline & Boat Work remained the major focus. Besides this, various extra-curricular and sports activities i.e academic discussions, speech competition, cricket, football, volleyball, and Kabadi etc were also held to groom the Under Training Sailors. Moreover, Primary Swimming Test, Standard Swimming Test / Sea Survival Course, Parade, Weapon & Physical Training (Cross Country, PET etc) were also part of curriculum which ensured to attain the desired physical standards. The Chief Guest in his speech emphasized the importance of discipline and dedication in the defence of Pakistan. In the end Chief Guest gave prizes to the UT sailors for outstanding performance: CNS trophy was awarded to Saqib Munir for his overall best performance whereas COMKAR Gold Medals were awarded to Yasir Nazir and Muhammad Anas for being best in Academics and as best sportsman respectively.
