Seed Processing Plant of Sindh Seed Corporation at Sakrand has been restarted after it went out of service some 5 years ago due to minor repairs which had been ignored. Aijaz Ahmed Mahesar, Chairman Sindh Seed Corporation Management Board’s resolve to restart its functioning and to make it even better succeeded. The plant has started functioning from today.

The Secretary, Agriculture, Supply & Prices, Department, Government of Sindh graced the awareness seminar on production of Compost/Biofertilizer on 23.05.2023 at Agriculture Research Center, Tandojam. He also inaugurated laboratory for production of Biofertizer, which assist small growers through demonstration on their own fields. In seminar, it was presented that use of Biofertilizer not only reduces cost of production but also improves soil health including fertility by enhancing organic matter. Prof. Dr. Fateh Mari, VC, Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, Mr. Hidayatullah Chhajro, DG Agriculture Extension, Syed Nadeem Shah, Senior Vice President, Sindh Abadgar Board, Mr. Nabi Bux Sathio, Senior Vice President, Sindh Chamber of Agriculture, number of progressive growers, extension workers, researchers and academia attended the seminar. They expressed their satisfaction on research and development work and wished all the successes for uplifting growing community.
