October is observed worldwide as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, emphasizing the importance of early detection and timely treatment. The Government of Sindh is strengthening access to free and advanced breast cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment services for women across the province. These include mammography services at JPMC and Civil Hospital Karachi, and advanced cancer treatment at JPMC through CyberKnife and TomoTherapy. The establishment of the Bilquis & Abdul Sattar Edhi Breast Radiation Bay at JPMC, along with advanced radiation facilities at Dow University, further strengthens access to specialized cancer care.

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inaugurated the Phase III expansion of the Thar Block II Coal Mine and Pakistan’s first ever Coal Drying Unit in Tharparkar, marking another important milestone in the development of Thar’s indigenous energy resources. The Phase III expansion will increase annual mine production capacity from 7.6 million tonnes to 11.2 million tonnes, adding 3.6 million tonnes annually. This additional coal will support power generation, increasing the total electricity generation capacity from Thar Block II coal to 1,980 MW, enough to provide electricity to approximately 4.5 million households.

Under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Sindh Government continues to advance Thar’s indigenous energy resources, supporting domestic power generation, cost effective electricity production and Pakistan’s long term energy needs.

عالمی یومِ اساتذہ کے موقع پر اساتذہ کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرنے کے لیے سندھ ٹیچرز ایجوکیشن ڈولپمنٹ اتھارٹی (STEDA) کے زیرِ اہتمام تقریب منعقد ہوئی جس میں وزیرِ تعلیم سندھ سید سردار علی شاہ نے بطور مہمانِ خصوصی شرکت کی۔

تقریب میں نمایاں کارکردگی دکھانے والے اساتذہ میں ایوارڈز اور شیلڈز تقسیم کی گئیں اس موقع پر وزیر تعلیم سید سردار علی شاہ نے کہا کہ استاد ہمارا فخر اور ایسا سرمایہ ہیں جس کی قدر کبھی کم نہیں ہو سکتی۔سال کے تمام دن استاد کی عزت و تکریم کے دن ہیں، تاہم عالمی یومِ اساتذہ ہمیں یہ یاد دہانی کراتا ہے کہ تعلیم کے ہر کامیاب سفر کے مرکز میں ایک استاد ضرور موجود ہوتا ہے۔

On World Teachers’ Day, the Government of Sindh pays tribute to teachers for their invaluable contribution to shaping the future of our society. The recruitment of 93,000 teachers on merit and through transparent processes reflects the Government’s commitment to strengthening the teaching workforce and improving the quality of education across the province.

Key initiatives, including the Sign Language Teachers Training Programme, the mandatory Teaching License Test, STEDA’s B.Ed. Bridging Programme, and AI enabled teacher training, are focused on strengthening teachers’ professional capacity, enhancing teaching standards, and promoting inclusive and modern teaching practices.

These measures reaffirm the Government of Sindh’s commitment to upholding the dignity and professional standing of teachers while ensuring quality education and better learning opportunities for every child across the province.

بزنس کمیونٹی کو دعوت دیتا ہوں کہ وہ سندھ حکومت کے ساتھ پبلک پرائیویٹ پارٹنرشپ کے تحت مزید منصوبوں میں تعاون کرے۔ اگر تھرپارکر میں اس ماڈل سے ترقی ممکن ہے تو صوبے کے دیگر علاقوں میں بھی اس کے ذریعے ترقی کا عمل تیز کیا جا سکتا ہے۔

تھر کول منصوبے میں 60 فیصد ملازمین کا تعلق ضلع تھرپارکر سے ہے۔ ہم نے منصوبے کی پیداواری صلاحیت کو دوگنا کیا ہے اور اب بجلی کی پیداوار کے ساتھ ساتھ تھر کے کوئلے سے کھاد اور گیس بھی پیدا کرنے جا رہے ہیں۔

تھر کول پروجیکٹ نیشنل گرڈ کی 14 فیصد بجلی پیدا کر رہا ہے۔ یہ بجلی ملک میں سب سے کم قیمت پر پیدا کی جارہی ہے۔ آج تھر کول منصوبے کی بدولت پاکستان کے تقریباً 1.6 ارب امریکی ڈالر کے زرمبادلہ کی بچت ہو رہی ہے۔
