In 1953, An academy was established in Pakistan Secretariat Karachi to promote Bengali literature.

It was named after Bengali literary giant and revolutionary poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.

A boy born in the village of Churulia in Asansol subdivision in the Burdwan District of West Bengal grew up to be popularly known as “Bidrohi Kobi” – The Rebel Poet of Bengal. His poetry and music embraced the Indo-Islamic renaissance and intense spiritual rebellion against fascism and oppression.

مغربی بنگال کے بردوان ضلع کے آسنسول سب ڈویژن کے گاؤں چرولیا میں پیدا ہونے والا ایک لڑکا بڑا ہوا جسے "بدروہی کوبی" - بنگال کا باغی شاعر کے نام سے جانا جاتا ہے۔ ان کی شاعری اور موسیقی نے ہند اسلامی نشاۃ ثانیہ اور فاشزم اور جبر کے خلاف شدید روحانی بغاوت کو قبول کیا۔
