Karachi: 9th August 2016: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Human Rights, Rehana Laghari has on Tuesday said that the Human Rights is a wide department, including women every section of Human Rights must be addressed through delivering fundamental rights.
This she said while presiding over an introductory meeting of Human Rights department at her office with Director, Directorate of Human Rights, Mr. Mansoor Rajput and Administrator Directorate of Human Rights Mr. Muhammad Ashfaque.
The Special Assistant to CM was thoroughly briefed by the Director Directorate of Human Rights about the ongoing projects, developments and progress of Directorate of Human Rights.
Rehana Laghari has vowed that Sindh Government decided with spirit to deliver its citizens to their door steps for which every possible effort were being made to deliver its promise.
She warned the director to issue warning to those staff who were absent and coming late in office. Nobody is above the law and will not be allowed to violate rules. She added
She also told that Human Rights situation must be strengthened to the international level, while every possible arrangement should be made to publicize the department, so that people at larger level should get the benefits.
She also said that activities Directorate of Human Rights will be projected everywhere in province through surprise visits, seminars, walks etc.
She invited different national and international NGOs to establish a better cooperation with the department in order to address Human Rights issues and improving the Human Rights situation in the province.
