We are incredibly honored and grateful to see the CANDLE Project featured in the latest edition of Childhood Education Innovations magazine! 🌍🌱
A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Reza, Ed.D. for authoring this insightful feature, "The CANDLE Project: Climate Change Education in Pakistan." Your dedication to highlighting the vital role of climate literacy in early education beautifully captures the essence of what we are collectively striving to achieve.
Developed under the visionary guidance of our Director, Ambreena Ahmed, and the dedicated TRC team, Candle by Teachers' Resource Centre (Climate Change Awareness and Action for Nature, Diversity, Livelihoods, and Ecosystems) stands as Pakistan’s first introductory curriculum on climate change for grades 1-10.
As Ms. Reza notes in the article, while Pakistan contributes minimally to global greenhouse gas emissions, our communities face some of its most severe consequences. By embedding the Four Rs (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), safety education, and international frameworks into age-appropriate, hands-on learning, CANDLE equips the next generation with the tools to build resilience and drive meaningful climate action.
Thank you, Ms. Reza, for giving this milestone project a global voice and for your unwavering advocacy for social justice and inclusive education. Together, we are nurturing climate-conscious citizens for a sustainable future. 🇵🇰✨
