There was a time when the people of Malir waited for the river like one waits for a beloved. When the rains came and water flowed, it brought happiness, unity, and life. Communities gathered to welcome its arrival, it was a symbol of purity and hope. But today, that same river tells a story of devastation. Where there was once life and greenery, now there is only filth, destruction, and despair. The river that once embraced the people of Malir now seems abandoned, choked by negligence and greed.

And why? Because of these shameless rulers and their heartless governance! They sold the soul of Malir for a few coins, building expressways and housing schemes for the rich while snatching away the lifeline of the poor. They call it “development,” but it is nothing more than a graveyard for nature and dreams. No planning, no respect for the environment, just corruption wearing the mask of progress. Today, we don’t know whom to cry for—the river that died, the people who lost hope, or the justice that never came. This is not just bad governance, it is betrayal.
