One of the biggest misconceptions about philanthropy today is that people have stopped caring.

The reality is more nuanced.

Giving has evolved across generations. What was once primarily community-rooted, faith-led, and relationship-driven now increasingly depends on transparency, accountability, and measurable impact.

At the same time, donor fatigue is growing. Economic pressures are rising. And fewer households are participating in charitable giving than they did decades ago.

Watch the video to explore the shift.

Eid Mubarak from Team i-Care.

Photos from The i-Care Foundation's post 22/05/2026

Before the celebrations begin, there’s a responsibility we carry.

Eid ul Adha is also about care
for the animals with us,
and the people around us.

Small precautions matter:
calm handling,
safe spaces,
and mindful supervision.

Because compassion also means being careful.

This is one of the most common questions we get asked!

In donor meetings, on television, in every conversation about giving in Pakistan:

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶-𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗳 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲?

The answer is not longevity. Not reputation. Not a well-known name. Credibility at i-Care has to be earned.

Through a process. Every time. No exceptions.

And here is what that means for you as a donor: by the time a charity appears on our platform, you do not have to research it yourself.

You do not have to wonder whether your money reached the right place. You do not have to take anyone's word for it, including ours. The work has already been done.

Look exactly how. 👇

Nobody talks about the mother who built a classroom at home when the system had no room for her child.

The one who became a full-time therapist without a degree. Who learned the exercises because the sessions ran out. The one who skips her own appointments to afford her child's.

𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥. 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞.

For every hour a man spends on unpaid care work in Pakistan, she spends eleven.

When a child with a disability is pushed out of a classroom, a mother quietly becomes the system that replaces it.

The exercises. The appointments. The advocacy. The exhaustion. Most of it happens unseen.

Supported mothers utilised rehabilitation services at 55.3%, compared to 22.6% for those without support, nearly doubling the likelihood that a child continues care.

Globally, women perform more than three-quarters of the world’s unpaid care work, labour that could equal up to 40% of GDP in some countries if counted.

She is not a statistic. She is the reason the statistics hold.

The organizations in our network are built around her. When you give through i-Care, you are not just funding a program. You are reducing what one woman is carrying alone.
