قائد حزبِ اختلاف اور تحریک تحفظِ آئین پاکستان کے سربراہ محمود خان اچکزئی پر چمن کے جلسے میں حقائق بیان کرنے کی پاداش میں مقدمہ درج کرنا قابلِ مذمت، افسوسناک اور آزادیِ اظہارِ رائے پر کھلا حملہ ہے۔

محمود خان اچکزئی نے اپنے علاقے کے عوام کے مسائل، مشکلات اور احساسات کی ترجمانی کرتے ہوئے جو مؤقف اختیار کیا، وہ دلیل، حقائق اور زمینی حقائق پر مبنی تھا۔ بدقسمتی سے جبر، تسلط اور اختلافی آوازوں کو دبانے کی روش اپنانے والے عناصر یہ برداشت نہ کر سکے کہ کوئی عوامی نمائندہ ریاستی پالیسیوں پر تنقیدی اور حقائق پر مبنی گفتگو کرے۔ اسی عدم برداشت کے نتیجے میں ان کے خلاف بے بنیاد اور سیاسی انتقام پر مبنی مقدمہ درج کیا گیا ہے۔

ہم اس کارروائی کو نہ صرف جمہوری اقدار بلکہ آئینی حقوق کی بھی سنگین خلاف ورزی سمجھتے ہیں۔ سیاسی رہنماؤں اور عوامی نمائندوں کے خلاف مقدمات اور دباؤ کے ہتھکنڈے استعمال کرکے سچائی کی آواز کو خاموش نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔ ایسے اقدامات ریاستی اداروں کے وقار میں اضافے کے بجائے عوام اور اداروں کے درمیان خلیج کو مزید گہرا کرتے ہیں۔

یہ مقدمہ دراصل حق گوئی کو جرم اور عوامی نمائندگی کو سزا دینے کی ایک شرمناک کوشش ہے، جس کی جتنی مذمت کی جائے کم ہے۔ ریاستی طاقت کے بل پر سیاسی مخالفین کو ہراساں کرنا، جھوٹے مقدمات میں الجھانا اور اختلافِ رائے کو کچلنے کی پالیسی کسی بھی مہذب اور جمہوری معاشرے کے لیے باعثِ ننگ ہے۔ اگر عوام کے مسائل بیان کرنا اور حکومتی پالیسیوں پر تنقید کرنا جرم قرار دیا جائے تو یہ جمہوریت، آئین اور بنیادی انسانی حقوق کے منہ پر ایک سنگین طمانچہ ہوگا۔ ایسے آمرانہ اور انتقامی اقدامات نہ صرف سیاسی درجۂ حرارت میں اضافہ کرتے ہیں بلکہ عوام کے اندر شدید بے چینی، بداعتمادی اور ردِعمل کو بھی جنم دیتے ہیں۔

ہم مطالبہ کرتے ہیں کہ محمود خان اچکزئی کے خلاف درج کیا گیا یہ بے بنیاد مقدمہ فوری طور پر واپس لیا جائے اور سیاسی اختلافِ رائے کو جرم بنانے کی روش ترک کی جائے۔ جمہوری معاشروں میں مسائل کا حل مقدمات، دھمکیوں اور دباؤ میں نہیں بلکہ مکالمے، برداشت اور آئین و قانون کی بالادستی میں ہوتا ہے۔ یہی راستہ قومی یکجہتی، سیاسی استحکام اور عوامی اعتماد کے فروغ کی ضمانت فراہم کرتا ہے۔

The filing of a case against the leader of the opposition and the head of Tehreek e Tahafuz e Ayin e Pakistan Mahmood Khan Achakzai for stating facts in a rally in Chaman is condemnable, regrettable and an open attack on freedom of expression.

The stance taken by Mahmood Khan Achakzai while expressing the problems, difficulties and feelings of the people of his area was based on arguments, facts and ground realities. Unfortunately, the elements who adopt the method of coercion, domination and suppression of dissenting voices could not tolerate any public representative to speak critically and based on facts on state policies. As a result of this intolerance, a baseless and politically vendetta case has been filed against him.

We consider this action to be a serious violation not only of democratic values ​​but also of constitutional rights. The voice of truth cannot be silenced by using cases and pressure tactics against political leaders and public representatives. Such measures, instead of increasing the prestige of state institutions, deepen the gap between the people and institutions.

This case is actually a shameful attempt to criminalize truth-telling and punish public representation, which cannot be condemned enough. The policy of harassing political opponents, framing them in false cases and suppressing dissent on the pretext of state power is a disgrace to any civilized and democratic society. If expressing the problems of the people and criticizing government policies is declared a crime, it will be a serious slap in the face of democracy, the constitution and basic human rights. Such authoritarian and vindictive measures not only increase the political temperature but also create severe anxiety, distrust and reaction among the people.

We demand that this baseless case registered against Mahmood Khan Achakzai be withdrawn immediately and the practice of criminalizing political dissent should be abandoned. In democratic societies, problems are resolved not through lawsuits, threats and pressure, but through dialogue, tolerance and the supremacy of the constitution and law. This path provides a guarantee for the promotion of national unity, political stability and public trust.
