An Iftaar gathering was organized at CRS-03, Tehsil Model Town. The Secretary PESD, Dr. Rizwan Naseer (SI), honored the event with his gracious presence. Officers and staff participated in the gathering, which provided an opportunity to strengthen mutual coordination and share the spirit of Ramadan.

Alhamdolillah, a major tragedy was averted today at Indigo Tower, Gulberg. Upon receiving reports of a fire in the basement, the Emergency Response Team was immediately mobilised. Minister Energy Faisal Khokhar, Commissioner, DC and all concerned officials are present on site to oversee the operation. The explosion of the air-conditioning system boiler was severe; however, due to the swift, professional and heroic response of Rescue 1122 and the Fire Brigade, the fire was brought under control with zero casualties. It is reassuring to note that the newly installed fire hydrants were fully functional and freshly implemented SOPs were in place which played a critical role in containing the incident. Strict directives have been issued: All commercial boiler and cylinder installations across Punjab must fully comply with safety standards. Any premises found compromising public safety will be sealed immediately, without exception.
