Day 03 Highlights – PLT Batch-25 (PECTAA)
Day 03 of the 8-week Promotion Linked Training at Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training & Assessment Authority was both enriching and engaging, focusing on practical insights and leadership development for educational managers (BS-19 to BS-20).
The day began with attendance by Ms. Amna Ghulam Nabi followed by a brief review of the previous day by Mr. Gulzar Ahmad, setting the stage for productive learning.
The morning two sessions centred on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), facilitated by Dr. Shazia Humayun from Beaconhouse National University. These sessions highlighted the importance of early learning environments, child-centred approaches, and foundational development.
A key highlight of the day was a field visit to the ECCE Room at Govt Pilot Higher Secondary School during the second session. The visit was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Shahida Humayun and accompanied by Ms. Amna Ghulam Nabi.
The Principal warmly welcomed the participants and provided a comprehensive briefing on the structure, facilities, and learning activities of the ECCE classroom. This practical exposure enabled participants to closely observe effective early childhood practices in a real school setting.
After the lunch break, two consecutive sessions on Foundations of Instructional Leadership were conducted by Dr. Shazia Humayun. Participants actively engaged in discussions on instructional leadership roles, improvement and strategies to enhance teaching and learning in schools.
Overall, Day 03 offered a balanced blend of theory and field experience, equipping participants with practical knowledge and leadership skills to strengthen early education and instructional practices in their institutions.
