Punjab is building a clean mobility future. 1,100 electric buses have been introduced in the first phase with a target of 5,000 electric buses by 2029, 2,000 buses this year, alongside electric bikes and electric taxis.

I have instructed the green buses to expand their routes and operations to include stops at universities and colleges. This is to ensure that my sons and daughters do not face any difficulties while traveling to and from their educational institutions in the morning. To date, we have provided 30,000 electric bikes to students, and my goal for the coming year is to distribute 100,000 more electric bikes to our students.
