CM Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated a 300 beded hospital at Shahdara yesterday which has been constructed at a cost of 1 billion rupees. Health has been one of the top most priorities of the CM and many new hospitals have been established during this tenure including the 400 beded hospital at Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology. The budget for health was increased 6 times from what it was in 2007-08 from 11 billion to 71 billion. Air-conditioners were installed in all general wards of all hospitals and free medicines worth 6 billion were provided to patients. This hospital at Shahdara has been established for greater public benefit as the people Shahdara does not have any hospital in its surroundings. Establishment of park will also facilitate the children and the families for healthy activities. (admin)

Today, on International Women's Day CM Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated Ladies Parks in two different localities. CM Shahbaz Sharif took the initiative of establishing Ladies Parks which are exclusive to Ladies in this tenure as CM. Ladies Parks have been established in various localities all over Punjab to enable women to exclusively use these parks for leisure. A woman Ombudsperson has also been appointed as part of this package. Last year on International Women Day, CM Shahbaz Sharif presented a comprehensive Women Empowerment Package which is being implemented in Punjab. (admin)

The construction of another Hockey stadium for the people of Lahore has completed. Grand inauguration ceremony of Mian Sharif Hockey Stadium, Johar Town is scheduled on 1st November, 2012.
