The completion of 10,000+ free heart surgeries for children from Punjab and across Pakistan marks a historic milestone. Under this program, children from KPK, Balochistan, Sindh, Kashmir and GB have received completely free treatment including expensive surgeries and interventions.
At The Children's Hospital & The Institute of Child Health, cardiac surgeons have been increased to 12 and physicians to 34, further strengthening the system. With 800 successful cochlear implants and 200 bone marrow transplants so far, a quiet revolution in healthcare is underway.
The sparkle of renewed life in these young patients’ eyes is my joy.
