KYF have successfully concluded our course on "History, Social Theory, and Revolutionary Prescription" with Adil Zahoor– a PhD Scholar at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIU). Students' enthusiasm about theorization of contemporary contradictions was cherishable. It shows the frustration and potential for resistance in and outside the campuses when students are struggling with mental health crises.

a massive protest is underway at the University of Lahore over the death of Student Owais Sultan.
The University of Lahore administration is responsible for the death of student Owais Sultan. Owais, a student of the University of Lahore, lost his life after enduring severe mental harassment by a professor over a semester attendance issue, which drove him to fall from the third floor. As students demand justice for Owais, a massive protest is underway at the University of Lahore, and the campus has been completely shut down.

Awais was a hardworking student. He didn’t fail the system of University Of Lahore failed itself.
Attendance pressure, financial stress, and institutional apathy of University of Lahore pushed a young life to the edge.

This is not su***de. This is institutional violence.
Education must be about care, dignity, and support—not fear and profit.

KYF stands with Awais’s family and all students suffering in silence.
We demand accountability, mental-health support, and an end to student exploitation.
