Public transport across Punjab has witnessed a remarkable 60% increase in ridership following fare-free travel days.
With over 528,000 additional passengers commuting daily, the system is now operating at full capacity.
To ensure continued ease and accessibility, the Government of Punjab is expanding the fleet with 1,000 additional buses.
A step forward towards inclusive, efficient, and accessible transport for all.

We compared ridership from last Monday (a paid day) with the average across three fare-free days. The results show a 60% increase in ridership, equivalent to an additional 528,000 passengers per day. The system is now operating at full capacity so adding 1000 more buses.
