Need justice.

It's continue fight against injustice......and the crupptt system.

Lately (March 27, 18) a very shameful act was seen in the Services, Hospital Lahore. First of all Negligence and arrogance on part of a Lady Doctor allegedly slapped a Pregnant woman Kiran Saleem who was brought for treatment to her. Later after the quarrel between the brothers of the woman, though settled after negotiations, she calls other doctors, the security staff and the ward boys to beat up the brothers such that one of the brothers was beaten to death. Shame to this Lady Doctor.
It’s a Shame to learn that the doctors, the hospital security staff and the ward boys who resorted to violence and killed one of the brothers. Such a thing is never expected from doctors. It’s a shame to learn about the medical Superintendent Dr. Amiruddin who gave such an irresponsible statement where he states that a security guard was critically wounded, when it was not the case and also claiming that the young doctors were innocent. What a Shame to the entire hospital where the patients and their relatives are ill-treated instead of coming to the assistance of the patients and their attendants.
I foresee another shame in the making. A committee has been made that will probe into the matter. They are expected to give their report. As usual they will try their best to quash the case and justice will never be done. This probe action was played and will be replayed for the umpteenth time. The result will be the same i.e., justice will never be done to the victims family. I foresee that from the very start this committee will try to defend the hospital and the doctors just as the medical superintendent is already doing.
One must remember that a great injustice has been done to the family and attendants of other patients who were also attacked. In great sorrow will the woman will give birth to her child. This will also have effects not only on the mother but also on the child that is to be born. The deceased Sunil belonged to a Christian family. Just in a few days the Christian community is about to celebrate Easter and a murder has taken place. This has really destroyed Easter the Easter Celebrations for all of us.
As a Christian and also as a Priest I will appeal to the effected Christians to be patient and pray for the deceased one, for the mother and child to be born, for the guilty and negligent doctors, for the hospital, security guards for the irresponsible Medical Superintendent and other people involved in the killing. The ones involved in this killing must be immediately suspended and brought to book. Though I have no confidence in the committee formed, I still appeal to them to do proper justice and make a proper inquiry. Inquiries were done for other cases but results never came in. let it not be for this case.
The ideal hospital is that hospital where no sooner the patient is brought to the hospital, the hospital staff at once takes over the care of the patient not the attendants. This is lacking in all our hospitals as the patients need to rely on their attendants. What is happening in our hospitals is that the attendants need to beg and even bribe to get a staff member to see their patient. All our Hospitals especially our government hospitals need to have an extra training on how to run hospitals that will be patient friendly that will consider it a priority to care for the patients.

No to Faith Declaration
It is great pity that the Islamabad High Court has made it mandatory for Pakistanis who are applying for Government Jobs to produce an affidavit declaring his or her faith. Once again Religion has become an issue of the State.
Once again it shows how bias the government institutions are. They are openly rejecting a group of Pakistanis. Ever since the Ahmedia Community was declared a non-Muslim the government made it mandatory for the citizens who apply for National Identity Cards to sign a declaration that is targeted to the Ahmedia Community. This declaration where the Muslims are made to sign is so derogatory that the Government of Pakistan openly rejects a Pakistani Group.
Now they make all to declare their faith before they apply for government jobs. Ooo! What a pity. As a young man looking for a career I also applied to join the army. While filling the forms I had to declare in the form my faith. I think that was more than enough. Why do I have to produce an affidavit?
The Law of Blasphemy (295 B & C) was made to target the Ahmedia Community but what have the consequences been? Everybody especially the Christian Community has become the target. Again, when the first government of Nawaz Sharif decided to include the religion column in the Identity Cards, there too the Ahmedia Community was targeted. Thank God this decision was taken back after the Christian Community of Pakistan protested against this decision.
Of course, I know the motive behind it. The story in Dawn (10 Mar 18) has clearly narrated that we must know that the one who is applying we must know whether he is an Ahmedia or not. In all cases the Ahmedias are targeted but the victims are are not so much them but all non-Muslims namely the Christians and Hindus. It is a good thing that the editorial of Daily Dawn has criticized this decision and has appealed to the government to “Let Jinnah’s Pakistan prevail” (Editorial – Dawn, 11 Mar 18)
What is Jinnah’s Pakistan? He clearly declared in while making his constitutional Address on 11 August 1947, he clearly made it clear that “Religion will have nothing to do with the affairs of the State.” The IHC has once again made it mandatory to make a Faith Declaration through an Affidiavit is encouraging the government to make religion an issue i.e., make it an affair of the State.
We just have to go through our history and see how Islam was misused? It has not given a good image to the neither to the Pakistanis nor to the International Community but has only misled us. Instead of coming closed to the Almighty the governments have led us astray. Instead of fostering tolerance we have become intolerant. Therefore I join hands with the Daily Dawn and appeal: “Let Jinnah’s Pakistan prevail.”
