PERA is a governmental body established under the Punjab Enforcement and Regulation Act, 2024.
From day-long public announcements in markets to strict night-time enforcement, PERA teams remained active across Punjab—patrolling, sealing shops that failed to comply, and imposing fines to ensure full implementation of the notified market timings.
Throughout the day, PERA’s SDEOs and officers have been announcing official closure timings in markets, as per Punjab’s notification, and meeting with the Anjuman-e-Tajiran.
Tonight, action will be taken against those who do not comply.
In light of prevailing austerity measures, the Government has directed the closure of all markets at 8:00pm.
PERA is actively engaged in ensuring strict compliance with these orders through effective monitoring and enforcement.

From 11:30 PM to 6:00 AM, a joint operation led by AC Gujrat with PERA uncovered massive illegal fuel hoarding at Al-Ghani Petrol Pump seizing over 610,000 litres worth Rs. 233 million
