Students participated in a collaborative group project on October 7, 2025, the Makerspace came alive with innovation as they explored ideas, creativity, and the importance of teamwork in a collaborative group activity.

Memorable Moments from July–August 2025

During this period, FCCU proudly welcomed back one of its distinguished alumni, Mr. Najeeb Ghauri, Chairman of NetSol Technologies, who also visited the Friends Digital Library.

In addition, FCCU had the honor of hosting Chinese researchers in the field of Business Management, who engaged in meaningful academic exchanges. Together with the Departmental Faculty of Business Management, they visited the Friends Digital Library, where we had the opportunity to showcase our facilities and services.

The Friends Digital Library has hosted a diverse range of visitors over time. These include HEC teams, Post Graduate Panel Review Committee, a student delegation from Government College University comprising around 120 students from the departments of International Relations and Political Science, Chinese researchers, as well as researchers and faculty members from various universities including Lahore College University. Additionally, the library has also served as a venue for staff meetings focused on fundraising and other academic collaborations.

Forman Experience is a full-semester course at FCCU designed to help freshmen connect with essential campus resources and transition smoothly from high school to university life. By bridging academic and social gaps, the course lays a strong foundation for students’ four-year journey at the University.

In Spring 2025, the program reached students across 12 sections, each comprising 30 or more freshmen, through a meaningful collaboration with the Friends Digital Library.

The Information Literacy Librarian successfully conducted 12 guided tours of the Friends Digital Library, accompanied by hands-on training sessions in the Information Literacy Classroom. These sessions equipped students with essential research skills and introduced them to a range of digital academic tools—ensuring they are well-prepared for academic success throughout their time at FCCU.

On March 6, 2025, Friends Digital Library welcomed Friends of Forman, who showed great interest in the library’s facilities and its contributions to academic research. During the visit, they received comprehensive briefings on the library’s digital resources, services, and facilities to deepen their understanding and engagement with our offerings.

On February 7, 2025, the Friends Digital Library welcomed the Accreditation Team for Pharmaceutical Sciences. During this visit, the team received comprehensive briefings on the library’s digital resources, services, and facilities, with a specific focus on pharmacy-related materials. The session aimed to enhance their understanding of the library’s role in supporting academic excellence and research in pharmaceutical sciences.

Digital Day Celebration – March 5, 2025

On March 5, 2025, the Center for Learning & Teaching (CLT) organized Digital Day, bringing together various FCCU departments to engage with faculty members and address their queries related to their respective domains.

The Friends Digital Library actively participated by setting up a dedicated desk focused on:

Turnitin: Providing guidance on plagiarism detection, academic integrity, and proper citation practices. (Hafsah Khalid - Librarian)
Open Educational Resources (OER): Showcasing freely accessible learning materials to support students and faculty in their academic pursuits. (Madiha Asghar - Librarian)
This event served as a valuable platform for fostering digital awareness and promoting the effective use of academic resources.

We are thrilled to announce our brand new digital library, a treasure trove of knowledge and resources. This library will provide users with online access to a wide range of e-resources including HEC Digital Library, FCC Digital Archives, Forman Digital Repository, Jstor, Ebscohost Academic e-Books Collection and Chronicle of Higher Education and much more.


In addition, it will be a place to discover, learn, explore, research, connect, and succeed, with facilities such as all-in-one workstations, meeting rooms, collaborative learning spaces, reading lounges, makerspace, information literacy classroom and a dedicated faculty & researcher's area.
