A student of grade six Osama Tuesday (today) made a su***de attempt by shooting himself with a gun inside the premises of his school.

According to police officials Osama’s father believes that his son took the extreme step because he was upset that his mother used to scold and beat him for not getting good numbers in exams.

He tried to shoot himself in his classroom following which he was rushed to Civil Hospital in critical condition; the police officials told the media after reaching the spot.

Meanwhile, the school management and its security also came under scrutiny for ignoring the student with a gun and letting him go inside the school without a proper check.

Osama’s classmates told police that he was carrying the gun with him for the last two to three days but nobody noticed it.

According to reports, Osama was receiving medical treatment at the hospital while police have started an investigation into the incident.

VEHARI: A student committed su***de on Saturday by shooting himself after he was banned for three years from appearing in exams over cheating allegations.

According to details, Shahid, a student of Government Degree College Vehari was held by the examiner with helping material while taking the examination. A three-year ban was imposed on him over the charges.

After the news of Shahid’s su***de reached his fellows, several students held a protest demonstration against the college administration and ransacked the premises.

The police arrested eight protesting students and registered a case against them.
