Talent Hunt – Inter-School Cricket Tournament
Organized by District Cricket Association & PCB in Collaboration with District Sports Office Mansehra.
The District Cricket Association and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in collaboration with the District Sports Office Mansehra, successfully organized the Talent Hunt Inter-School Cricket Tournament. A total of 12 teams from across District Mansehra participated in the event, including 8 teams from government schools and 4 teams from private schools.
Throughout the tournament, young players showcased exceptional cricketing skills, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
The final match was held on 25th September 2025, at Thakra Stadium, Mansehra, between GHS No. 3 Mansehra and GHS Oghi Kolika. After an exciting contest, GHS No. 3 Mansehra emerged as the champions, displaying outstanding performance and determination.
The District Sports Officer, Mansehra, graced the occasion as the chief guest, along with other distinguished guests from the sports community and local leadership.
At the conclusion of the event, trophies, certificates, and prizes were distributed among the finalist teams and top performers. Honorary shields were also presented to the distinguished guests in recognition of their support and contribution to the promotion of sports in the district.
The tournament not only provided a valuable platform for young talent to shine but also reinforced the commitment of the District Cricket Association, PCB, and District Sports Office to nurturing grassroots cricket in Mansehra.

District Snooker Championship Mansehra 2025 Concludes Successfully
On the directions of the Worthy Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Worthy Deputy Commissioner Mansehra, the District Sports Officer Mansehra successfully organized the District Snooker Championship Mansehra 2025.
A total of 128 players from across the district participated in the exciting event, showcasing their skills and passion for the game. The grand final was held today on October 26, 2025, at Snooker Zone Mansehra, where Azhar Iqbal and Nadir Khan faced off in a thrilling contest. There was no entry fee to encourage more and more players to participate.
Displaying remarkable consistency and composure, Azhar Iqbal clinched the championship title with a convincing victory and an outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
The District Sports Officer Mansehra and District Youth Officer Mansehra graced the final as chief guests. They distributed cash prizes, trophies, and shields among the top performers. In recognition of their valuable contributions, honorary shields were also presented to distinguished guests.
The event concluded in a spirit of sportsmanship and enthusiasm, promoting snooker as a growing sport among the youth of Mansehra.

ڈسٹرکٹ ایڈمینسٹریشن مانسہرہ اور ڈائریکٹریٹ جنرل سپورٹس کی زیرِنگرانی ، ڈسٹرکٹ سپورٹس آفس مانسہرہ کی جانب سے مانسہرہ سنوکر چمپین شپ ٹورنامنٹ کا کامیاب انعقاد اپنے اختتامی مراحل میں داخل۔
ضلع مانسہرہ میں اپنی نوعیت کا یہ پہلا ٹورنامنٹ تھا جس میں 128 پلیئرز نے بغیر کسی انٹری فیس کے حصہ لیا۔ ٹورنامنٹ کا فائنل 26 اکتوبر اتوار کے دن 2 بجے ہو گا جس میں شائقینِ سنوکر کو شرکت کی بھرپور دعوت دی جاتی ہے۔ فائنل کی تقریب میں نمایاں کارکردگی دکھانے والے پلئیرز میں کیش انعامات اور ٹرافیز تقسیم کی جائیں گی۔
ڈسٹرکٹ سپورٹس آفس مانسہرہ اس ٹورنامنٹ میں حصہ لینے والے تمام پلئیرز اور خصوصی طور پر سنوکر زون کلب انتظامیہ کا مشکور ہے جنہوں نے اس ٹورنامنٹ کے کامیاب انعقاد کو یقینی بنایا۔

Revival of Hockey in Mansehra
District Hockey Champion Trophy 2025 a Roaring Success
The District Hockey Champion Trophy 2025 is in full swing, organized by District Sports Office Mansehra and District Hockey Association Mansehra.
A total of 8 teams participating from across the district. Including Pakistan color players and legends inspiring young players participating in the event.
As an effort by this office to resuscitate and revive our national sport, which was dorment in Mansehra.
Today's thrilling match saw Shinkiari Hockey Club take on Youth Club Mansehra at the Police Play Ground. The event was graced by the District Sports Officer, alongside distinguished guests from civil society.
He commended the Association's efforts and encouraged the passionate players, emphasizing that such hockey tournaments deserve to be organized across the entire district. In a major announcement, he promised efforts for state-of-the-art hockey astroturf for the city, following a recommendation from the Provincial Government.

Jashan-e-Azadi Divisional Football Championship Concludes in Mansehra
The Jashan-e-Azadi Divisional Football Championship, organized by the District Sports Office Mansehra, successfully concluded on September 12, 2025, in a vibrant ceremony at Thakra Stadium Mansehra.
The tournament featured intense competition, with 32 teams from across the Hazara Division vying for the championship title. The final was a thrilling encounter between Nawan Sher Abbottabad Football Club and Kohistan Football Club Mansehra. After a spirited match, Nawan Sher Abbottabad Football Club emerged victorious, clinching the championship trophy.
The closing ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Kamal Saleem Swati, Focal Person to the Honorable Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Babar Saleem Swati. He was accompanied by the District Sports Officer, Mansehra, and other distinguished guests.
In his address, the Chief Guest highly praised the organizer for organizing a superb event and commended all the players for their exceptional enthusiasm, competitive spirit, and talent. He announced plans for continued support for athletes, the promotion of various games, and the development of sports infrastructure in the Mansehra region.
Following the final match, cash prizes and trophies were awarded to the finalist teams. Honorary shields were also presented to the guests in recognition of their support for local sports.
The championship was celebrated as a significant success, highlighting the footballing talent within the Hazara Division and fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and community.

Special Persons National Cricket Championship 2025
In a proud celebration of national spirit and sporting excellence, the Pakistan Special Persons National Cricket Championship 2025 culminated on 06 September, with a thrilling final at the Thakra Sports Stadium, Mansehra.
The tournament, organized by the District Sports Office Mansehra in collaboration with the Pakistan Special Persons Cricket Association (PSPCA), was held to mark Pakistan Defense Day.
The closing ceremony was graced by distinguished guests and key officials from the PSPCA, who honored the athletes' talent and sportsmanship. The championship featured four talented teams competing at the national level.
The final was an all-Abbottabad affair, with Team Abbottabad Region-I facing off against Abbottabad Region II Mansehra. In a compelling display of skill, Abbottabad Region-I emerged victorious, qualifying for the next stage of the national trophy with a decisive win.
The event served as a powerful testament to the spirit of inclusivity and resilience, celebrating both Pakistan's Defense Day and the extraordinary capabilities of its athletes.

Special Persons National Cricket Championship 2025
In a proud celebration of national spirit, as part of celebrations of Defense Day, the Pakistan Special Persons National Cricket Championship 2025 commenced today at the Thakra Sports Stadium, Mansehra. The tournament is organized by the District Sports Office Mansehra in collaboration with the Pakistan Special Person Cricket Association (PSPCA) to mark the 06 September Pakistan Defense Day.
The opening ceremony was graced by the District Sports Officer Mansehra and key officials from the PSPCA. The event saw the participation of four teams, showcasing talent and sportsmanship.
The championship began with a highly anticipated match between Peshawar Region and Abbottabad Region. Peshawar Region claimed a decisive victory in the opening game, delivering an impressive performance.
Addressing the ceremony, the District Sports Officer of Mansehra praised the unwavering determination and enthusiasm of all the players. He assured the PSPCA of his office's complete and ongoing support for initiatives for promoting inclusive sports. He further commended the Association for its hard work in organizing the national event.
The tournament will culminate on Pakistan Defense Day, with the final match scheduled for 06 September 2025.
