The Statistics Department, GPGC Mansehra, successfully organized an insightful seminar titled:

“From Statistics to Artificial Intelligence: How Statistical Thinking is Shaping the Future of AI”

The seminar was held on 3rd October 2026 at the Statistics Department, GPGC Mansehra, Dr. Iqra Hussain a bright alumna of the Department of Statistics served as the Resource Person.

The session provided students and faculty members with valuable insights into the evolving relationship between Statistics, Data Analysis, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. It highlighted the growing importance of statistical thinking in developing intelligent systems and making data-driven decisions.

The seminar served as an engaging academic platform for exploring the opportunities and challenges presented by AI and the future of data science.

Department of Political Science Organizes Academic Seminar on New Provinces in Pakistan

The Department of Political Science, Government Postgraduate College Mansehra, successfully organized an academic seminar on “Re-configuring the Federation: The Debate on New Provinces in Pakistan.”

Dr. Muhammad Arshid, Chairman, Department of Political Science, delivered the keynote address, providing an in-depth analysis of the constitutional, political, administrative and socio-economic dimensions of the debate on new provinces in Pakistan.

The seminar was presided over by Prof. Riaz Hussain, Principal, GPGC Mansehra, who delivered the concluding remarks and appreciated the academic initiative of the Department.

Faculty members and students from GGDC No. 1 Mansehra and GGDC Chitti Dheri also participated in the seminar. Students took an active and impressive part in the discussion and raised thoughtful and thought-provoking questions, making the session highly interactive and intellectually engaging.

The seminar was beautifully organized by the Seminar Society of the Department of Political Science, reflecting the department's commitment to promoting academic discourse, critical thinking and student engagement on important national issues.
