Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Danish Zakir visited the University of Sufism and Modern Sciences, Bhitshah, where he reviewed academic and administrative affairs and inspected the under-construction campus. He later visited Aghosh Alkhidmat Hala, reviewed facilities for orphan children, interacted with them, and appreciated the institution’s efforts for their education, care and overall development.

Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Danish Zakir chaired a meeting of the District Coordination Committee’s Social and Political Domain at Latif Hall, Matiari, where local government affairs, Union Councils, sports and cultural activities, Auqaf matters, and other social issues were reviewed. He directed concerned officers to ensure effective coordination and timely progress on the matters discussed.

District Coordination Committee meeting on the National Action Plan (NAP) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Danish Zakir at Latif Hall, DC Secretariat Matiari. The meeting reviewed law and order, security measures and actions against illegal activities, including drug trafficking, electricity theft, child labour, illegal petrol pumps, smuggling, hoarding, encroachments and NCP vehicles. The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to strengthen coordination and ensure effective implementation of the NAP for public safety, law and order and the rule of law in the district.

Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Danish Zakir visited RHC Bhitshah, UC Bhitshah and RHC/THQ Hala to monitor the ongoing September SNIDs Polio Campaign.

Accompanied by DHO Matiari Dr. Zahid Sadar, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed field activities, team performance and child coverage, and directed teams to ensure effective monitoring and that no eligible child is missed during the campaign.

Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Danish Zakir visited various areas of the district to review field activities under the ongoing Polio Campaign. UNICEF Team Lead Dr. Jorge Caravotta accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the visit.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed vaccination activities, coverage and team performance, and directed the concerned officials to ensure complete coverage of eligible children, effective field monitoring and follow-up of missed and not-available children.

Dr. George Caravotta appreciated the efforts of the District Administration and frontline polio teams. The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that no eligible child should be missed and quality coverage must be ensured throughout the campaign.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Danish Zakir gives necessary instructions to polio teams before the commencement of the September SNIDs Polio Campaign.

He directed teams to ensure complete door-to-door coverage of children under five years of age and achieve the assigned targets.

He stressed strict implementation of the micro plan, effective field monitoring, and ensuring that no child is missed.

District Health Officer Dr. Zahid Sadar and Assistant Commissioner Matiari Abdul Wahab Memon were also present on the occasion.

DC Matiari Inspects Development Works Across the District

Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Danish Zakir visited various development sites across District Matiari to review the progress and quality of ongoing works under the Maintenance & Repair (M&R) Program 2025–26 for the Education Sector.

During the visit, the DC inspected Govt. Girls Primary School Jan Muhammad Jamali, Taluka Saeedabad; Govt. Boys High School M.G. High School Hala; Govt. Boys Primary School Mahi Mochi; Govt. Boys Primary School Yaqoob Shaheed, Bhit Shah; Govt. Boys Primary School Adur Faqir Khyber; Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Khyber; and Govt. Boys Primary School Jaffar Khaskheli, Taluka Matiari.

The DC reviewed the ongoing repair, maintenance and rehabilitation works at the educational institutions and emphasized maintaining quality standards, timely completion and proper utilization of development funds.

He also inspected development schemes in other sectors, including the Emergency Ward at Rural Health Center Bhit Shah, Oderolal Village to Oderolal Station Road under the Highways Sector, and construction of paver blocks at Village Bachal Waryah.

The visit was aimed at ensuring that development works are progressing as planned and are completed in accordance with approved specifications and quality standards.

Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Danish Zakir chaired a meeting to review preparations for the September SNIDs Polio Campaign scheduled from September 21 to 24.

The campaign targets 142,228 children across 30 Union Councils, with 529 teams, including 485 mobile, 28 fixed-site and 16 transit teams.

The DC directed all concerned departments to ensure effective monitoring, security, coordination and complete coverage so that no eligible child is missed.

The Deputy Commissioner Matiari, together with his team and in collaboration with the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, successfully organized a spirited Youth Sports Gala at Matiari Gymkhana on 13th and 14th September 2026. The centerpiece of the event was an exciting Badminton Tournament, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from young players across the district. The event was designed to foster a culture of healthy sporting activities, instill discipline, and encourage teamwork among the youth. By providing constructive recreational opportunities, the event promoted physical fitness and highlighted the importance of sports in youth development. Beyond competition, the initiative strengthened community engagement, inspired young athletes to pursue excellence, and nurturing talent and promoting positive social values in Matiari District.
