Farewell gathering for outposted Director-General, and Director-SDU, was arranged in the Committee room of SDU, on 12th January, 2026, where all the subordinate staff of SDU attended the ceremony, and presented rich homage and tribute to the outgoing DG, and Director for -rendering their insightful services at SDU, P&DD. The out posting DG-SDU, and Director-SDU also thanked to the Staff of SDU for extending un-tiring, unconditional support and facilitation during his official responsibilities, obligations incomplishments in working -oriented environment. The Out-going DG, also expressed deep gratituation and pleasure over the pleasurable time, he spent in SDU-P&DD. He also displayed well wishes for the upcoming new DG-SDU, and urged the SDU-subordinated staffs to adhere with this challenging environment, and keep open their office’s doors for the vulnerable, miserable and under-depressed communities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Progress Review Meeting of Accelarated Implementation Program (AIP), was held under the Chairmanship of Director General-SDU, P&D, Department in the Committee Room of SDU, on 12th January, 2026, where representatives of Scinece Technology & Information Technolohgy , Froest department, attended the meeting. The forum also apprised about Multi-Sectoral Development schemes in depth. ST&IT and forest department reprsentatives breifed the fourum about the Physical and Financial Progress of the ongoing project interventions in different districts of KP, including Merged Areas. The Chair directed all the project authorities to ensure smoth and timely exection their concerned priortize-based schemes in the best intrest of the people. The forum ensured the project athoriteis to take up all the financial issues/release of fundes concerned to their schemes with higher ups required for the streamlined /executiions of project implementatin.

The forum was enlightened regarding Physical and Financial Progress of the ongoing project interventions of their concerned schemes, and issues arised during their exectution. The forum articulated satisfication over the pace of the progress of their project interventions, so made for, and directed the project authorities to utalize all their energies/resources to complete all their project activities in the prseribed time frame for the best public intrest. The forum also assured the project authroities to assist them and convence the competent authorities of timely release of fundes required for time-bound project interventions in the concerned districts.

The forum expressed satisfication over the progress so made for, and directed the project authorities to utalize all their energies to complete all their project activities in the prseribed time frame for the best public intrest.

Progress Review Meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Director-SDU, P&D Department, wheras projects "Integrated Area Devleopment Package, Orakzai, Accelarted Sustainable Development Initatives in districts Orkzai, Bajaur, and Mohamand" was throughly assesed. The Project authrities appraised the forum about Physical and Financail Progress of their councered schemes in details. Project Directors/Deputy Commissioners of ASDIs, briefed the forum sector wise/priotrized schemes summaries in their concerned districts. The Chair directed to follow and adhere to the defined guidline invisiged by the comptetent authority, and kick start/operationalize the project interventions in the best intrest of the targeted districs.

Progress Review Meeting of SDU-P&D Department coordinated project titled "Public Policy Social Protection Reforms Unit" (PP&SPRU) was held under the Chairmanship of Director-SDU, in the Committee Room of SDU, P&DD, wehere as the project authorities assesed the forum with Physical and Financial Progress of Project interventions, especially the socail sectores of the schemes and number of benificiries compensated till date in the various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Forum expressed satisfication over the ongoing project activities and emphasized the project authorities to expedite/accelarte the interventions with zeal and zest for the welfare and sustainable development of the people of the targeted regions of the province.

Progress Review regarding Schemes of Improvement of road from Khar to Timargarha and Toor Ghundi-Khar Road, 37.845 km. (AIP), Improvement of Khar Mamad G*t (Mohmand Boundry) Road, 33.352 km. (AIP), and Improvement of Thall Mirali (NW) Road (54 km) (AIP), was held under the Chairmanship of Director-Sustainable Development Unit, P&DD, in the Committee Room of SDU, P&DD, representatives of PKHA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was apprised the forum about the Physical and Financial Progress of the concerned projects. The forum expressed satisfaction over the pace of work, and stressed on the project authorities to complete the schemes timely for the best interest of the public. The forum also emphasized to consult the community members helpful the schemes more fruitful and productive for common people of the targeted districts.

Progress Review meeting of Projects of Integrated Area Development Package for Kurrum District, FATA Infrastructure Program (FIP), and Khyber Pass Economic Corridor (KPEC) was held under the Chairmanship of Director-Sustainable Development Unit, P&DD, wherein the forum was appraised/assessed with Physical and financial progress of the projects, and its interventions carried out in different districts of Khyber Pakhunkhwa. The forum expressed satisfaction over the project operations implemented in various districts of the province and underscored the project authorities to accelerate project pursuits for welfare and sustainable development of the common public, and also emphasized to consult with communities’ members in the targeted areas to executes/implement these project activities in more viable and workable ways.

Meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Director-SDU, P&D, Department today in the Committee Room of SDU, to review the Physical and Financial progress of a project titled " Integrated Development in Arang/Barang/momond/and Salarzai (MA-ADP-191673)" in district Bajaur . The meeting was attended by representatives of Agriulture, Irrigation and C&W department of Bajaur district. Planning Officer of District Administration Bajaur briefed the forum that the subject scheme was approved by the PDWP in its meeting held on 10-09-2020, at at total cost of Rs. 135.00 million, to stimulate the Infrustructure, Agriculture, and Irrigation sectors of the district Bajaur.

A meeting was held at Sustainable Development Unit, P&D, Department Under the Chairmanship of DG-SDU, Mr. Khalid Zaman regarding Data Sharing of Benazir Income Support Progrm (BISP) with Public Policy and Social Protection Reforms Unit (PP&SPRU), SDU, on 17th November, 2025, whereas representatives of GIZ, Germany, DG-BISP, DG-NSER Mr. Ijaz attended the meeting. Mr. Noman IMIS, BISP apprised the forum about the operationalized systmem of Benazir Income Support Program, benaficieries getting compensentions in the form of cash/money to the vulnerabale segments of socity through out the whole country. Mr. Noman also disscussed IMIS (Integrataed Managament Information System, and GRMIS (Grievance Redressal Managment Information System in details. He further enlighenend the forum that IMIS is the core archtecture of BISP containing whole registry and records of Benificieries since incpeiton of the program till date . He shed light of GRMIS (Grivance Redressal Managment System is the fundamental aspect of the BISP, where millions of people lodged complaints through GRMIS, and BISP resolve it in short stepulated of time.

On September 18, 2025, a virtual meeting chaired by Minister for Development and Special Initiatives Ihsan Iqbal was held with concerned stakeholders. Director General of the Sustainable Development Unit, Khalid Zaman, attended. The meeting focused on the Education and Literacy Program and strategies for preventing Hepatitis C nationwide.

Progress Review and initial assessment of projects titled “Integrated Area Development Package for Bara, and Integrated Area Development Package for Tirah Valley, district Khyber, was held under the Chairmanship of Director General-Sustainable Development Unit-SDU, Mr. Khalid Zaman, wherein MNA, Mr. Iqbal Afridi, MPA- Abdul Ghani Afridi, all line departments/executing agencies attended the meeting. The forum was briefed/appraised the forum towards the developmental initiatives proposed in district Bara and Tirah valley
