Every year, 27th of October is observed all over the world as ‘Black Day’ , on this day in 1947 , India without any legal justification, forcibly took control of the State of Jammu and Kashmir.

NOTIFICATION: GRANT OF AFFILIATION TO PRIVATE SECTOR DEGREE COLLEGES WITHOUT HERA PROVISIONAL REGISTRATION

Under the Section 32(4) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Universities Act, 2012 (as amended) stipulates that an application for affiliation of a private sector educational institution imparting higher education shall be preceded by the provisional registration of the said institution with the Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA), in accordance with the prescribed requirements.

i. No new affiliation shall be granted to any private degree college unless it holds a valid provisional registration certificate issued by HERA.

II. All private colleges already affiliated without obtaining HERA registration shall secure and submit their provisional registration certificates within one month from the issuance of this letter, failing which their existing affiliation may be reconsidered.

III. Universities shall not register students admitted to any private college that lacks valid provisional registration with HERA.

Ensuring Quality Education in Private Sector Allied Health Sciences !

Today, a team of the Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) visited several Allied Health Sciences institutes in District Charsadda, who have recently applied for registration.

The visit aimed to evaluate compliance with HERA’s set criteria and institutional guidelines, ensuring that quality education and proper standards are being maintained.

HERA continues its mission to promote excellence, transparency, and accountability across higher education institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A productive review meeting was held for the Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) & Kohat Division Development Project (KDDP) collaborative initiative of “Scholarship Program for the Youth of Kohat Division i-e District Karak, Hangu, and Kohat”

The meeting, convened under the leadership of Mr. Mohammad Naeem Khan, Chairman HERA, was graced by Mr. Hashmat Ali, Project Director KDDP, and Mr. Zahid Toru, SVT Coordinator KDDP.

During the session, participants reviewed the ongoing progress, shared valuable insights, and discussed strategies to further enhance the scholarship program’s impact. The collaboration continues to serve as a meaningful step toward empowering the youth of Kohat Division through access to higher education and skill development opportunities.

🎓 426 Students Graduate Under HERA–KDDP Skill Development Initiative at KUST 🎓

Today, 426 bright young men and women celebrated their graduation from diploma and certificate programs under the HERA–KDDP Collaborative Project at the Kohat University of Science & Technology (KUST).

The initiative, led by the Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) with the financial assistance of Kohat Division Development Project (KDDP), is transforming lives by providing scholarships and equipping students with in-demand skills. From medical disciplines (health, pharmacy, nursing, ultrasound, radiology, anesthesia) to modern high-tech courses (e-commerce, mobile app development, digital marketing, and more), our graduates are ready to make their mark in the workforce locally and globally.

The ceremony was graced by Minister for Higher Education Meena Khan Afridi , Parliamentarians from the three districts, Chairman HERA, Muhammad Naeem and Vice Chancellors of KUST and KKKU Karak, along with other distinguished guests.

Leaders and officials praised the initiative as a beacon of hope, resilience, and opportunity—empowering youth, reducing unemployment, and building sustainable socio-economic development in the region.

Chairman HERA, Muhammad Naeem graced the event of Two days Literary Festival, organized by Rehman College of Dentistry Peshawar, bringing together students, teachers, writers, and literary enthusiasts under one roof.

In coordination with CECOS University,Peshawar, Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) organized a prestigious Seerat-un-Nabi (ﷺ) Conference, bringing together people from diverse walks of life along with a large number of students.
