Procurement Committee Meeting | SIDB Wood Working Centers

A meeting of the Procurement Committee was held at the SIDB Conference Room under the chairmanship of Dy. Managing Director (P&D/Estate), Mr. Noman Fayaz, regarding the opening of bids for the procurement of raw materials (Small Goods) for SIDB Wood Working Centers.

The procurement process is being carried out under the Single Stage One Envelop Procedure through National Competitive Bidding (NCB).

Coordination Meeting | Property Tax on Small Industrial Estates

A meeting regarding the property tax levied by the Excise & Taxation Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on various Small Industrial Estates under the administrative control of KP-SIDB was held under the chairmanship of Managing Director, KP-SIDB.

The meeting was attended by officers of the Excise & Taxation Department, senior SIDB management, and representatives of the Industrialists Association Peshawar. The matter was discussed in detail, and it was apprised that the issue is currently under consideration before the Cabinet Committee.

It was accordingly decided that the matter would remain pending until the final decision of the Cabinet Committee.

SIDB remains committed to facilitating industrialists and addressing matters affecting the sustainable growth of industrial estates.

Managing Director Small Industries Development Board (SIDB), Abdul Hameed Khan, chaired a key coordination meeting today regarding critical infrastructure upgrade i.e. replacement of old corroded sui-gas pipeline at the Small Industrial Estate (SIE), Mardan.

​The primary focus of the meeting was to finalize terms for replacement of the existing gas pipeline at SIE Mardan. The current pipeline, affected by age, corrosion, and leakage issues, poses operational and safety challenges for local industries. Replacing this network will ensure a safer, uninterrupted, and more reliable gas supply for industrial units.

Advisor to CM for Industries, Commerce & Technical Education, Mr. Hamayun Khan, visited the Handicraft Development Centre (HDC) Jareed, Kaghan, to review development opportunities and interact with local stakeholders. During the visit, an ADP scheme worth Rs. 40 million was announced for training local youth in handicrafts and wood carving.

Discussions also focused on establishing a display centre for local products and exploring sustainable mechanisms to strengthen the operational capacity of HDC Jareed. The Advisor further briefed participants on the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s tiered financial support model for small, medium and large-scale projects, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and local economic development.
