A meeting of the Budget & Finance Committee of SIDB was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Additional Secretary (II), Industries, Commerce & Technical Education Department, to review and finalize the proposed budget estimates for FY 2026–27. Meeting was attended by Noman Fayaz Dy. MD SIDB, Basheer Ahmad Director Finance and Imdadullah Section officer Finance Department.
The committee thoroughly examined budgetary priorities, operational requirements, and development initiatives while emphasizing prudent financial management and efficient resource utilization. Discussions also focused on exploring innovative and sustainable revenue-generation measures to strengthen SIDB’s financial sustainability and institutional efficiency.
After detailed deliberations, the committee unanimously finalized the draft budget proposal incorporating key recommendations and strategic inputs.

The Deputy Director-I (Imp); Engr. Zohaib Hassan Khan, along with Sub Engineer (Imp); Sohail Jillani and Senior President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kohat, Faheem Ullah Khan, visited the site upon request of the Small Industrial Association Kohat. The purpose of the visit was to assess the existing outlet drain of SIE Kohat, evaluate current drainage conditions, and explore all possible solutions for its revamping to ensure smooth and efficient disposal of estate sewage.

Former Secretary Auqaf, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zubair Shah Khan, paid a visit to the Pak-German Woodworking Center to review its operations and ongoing initiatives. Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by Abdul Hameed Khan, Managing Director of the Small Industries Development Board (SIDB), who provided a comprehensive briefing on the center’s background, objectives, and current activities.
During the briefing, it was explained that the Pak-German Woodworking Center has been playing a key role in promoting skilled craftsmanship, modern woodworking techniques, and the production of high-quality furniture for various government departments. The center also aims to strengthen technical training, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the local economy through value-added wood products.
Zubair Shah Khan expressed his appreciation for the efforts of SIDB and the management of the center, particularly acknowledging the quality and durability of furniture being supplied to government institutions. He noted that such initiatives not only enhance institutional efficiency but also support the development of skilled human resources in the province.
Deputy Managing Director Noman Fayaz and Project Director Habib Rauf were also present on the occasion. They shared additional insights into ongoing projects, future expansion plans, and the challenges faced by the center. The visit concluded with a detailed walkthrough of the facility, where the former Secretary observed various stages of production and interacted with staff and trainees.
