We are proud to share an impactful initiative focused on enhancing regulatory capacity in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This in-person workshop aims to strengthen the National Medicines Regulatory Agency (NMRA) of Burkina Faso through advanced training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Led by Prof. Dr. Sohail Ahmad, Dean/Principal of Margalla Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, this workshop will empower professionals with modern, risk-based approaches to inspection, evaluation, and compliance aligned with international standards (WHO/PIC/S).

Position:
Dental Radiographer
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate dental X-ray equipment for patients
• Maintain accurate imaging records and reports
• Ensure routine maintenance and quality control of radiology equipment
Eligibility Criteria:
• Relevant qualification in Radiology / Dental Radiography
• 5 years of Experience in operating OPG & CEPH machines
• Good communication and patient handling skills

An educational session on Povidone-Iodine mouthwash was held on 13th April at Margalla Institute of Health Sciences. The session was organized by the Department of Periodontology in collaboration with Metier Group Pakistan Ltd. for first-year BDS students.

During the presentation, the clinical uses and benefits of Povidone-Iodine in dentistry were discussed in detail, along with its mechanism of action and role in infection control. The session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of antiseptic mouthwashes and their importance in maintaining oral health and preventing infections.

Honourable faculty members and house officers were also invited to attend the session. The program concluded with closing remarks by the Head of the Department of Periodontology, Dr. Sidra Azeem Malik, who appreciated the collaborative effort and encouraged students to integrate evidence-based practices into their future clinical work.
