GCUF Sahiwal Campus

The Department of Food Sciences at GCUF Sahiwal Campus organized an exhibition on food product development, held in the Processing Hall on the 21st of May. In light of the summer season, students focused on creating innovative products designed to restore hydration with enhanced taste. The 6th semester students showcased their creativity and technical skills by presenting uniquely developed candy juices.

The Department of Food Sciences has successfully conducted an Annual event (Food fiesta) on 8th of May.
As extra- curricular activities are essential for students overall development and little sneaking from academic routine. Students worked as volunteers and managed their foster social works .

Department of Food sciences has conducted an informative seminar on "Recent advancement of food waste management in food industry" on Thursday 27-03-25
Major industries surrounding Pakistan were efficiently covered.
Students enthusiastically participated regarding future perspectives of waste materials that could be used as resourceful items.

We are thrilled to share the successful Therapeutic Diet Competition organized by HND Department at GCUF Sahiwal Campus, an innovative event designed to showcase the creativity and knowledge of our students. In this unique competition, students were challenged to create specialized diet plans tailored to address various medical conditions. Each participant demonstrated their understanding of nutrition science by crafting diets that not only meet the dietary needs of patients but also ensure optimal health outcomes. The competition was a platform for students to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, encouraging innovation and critical thinking. The diverse range of diets presented reflected a deep commitment to improving patient care through personalized nutrition. We are proud of our students hard work and dedication and look forward to seeing how their efforts translate into real-world impact.

*Cancer Awareness Walk*

The Department of HND GCUF Sahiwal campus successfully organized a Cancer Awareness Walk on 25-2-2025, drawing hundreds of students, faculty, and community members to the university campus. The event aimed to promote education, awareness, and early detection of cancer. Participants gathered at Department of HND and walked around the campus, carrying banners and wearing awareness ribbons.
Coordinator of the Nutrition Department *Syed Saqib Bukhari* said, "Cancer awareness is about understanding and sharing information about cancer to help, prevent, detect, and treat it. We are overwhelmed by the response to our Cancer Awareness Walk. It's heartening to see the university community come together to support this important cause."
