Govt. Jinnah Public Library Sahiwal

e,2006. It is the 3rd biggest Public library of the province of the Punjab. Number of its regular members is more than 4000. Sahiwal houses several educational institutes of quality. . It also caters to the reading needs of students of Government College Sahiwal, Divisional Public School (DPS) and St. Mary's Convent School ,Government College for Women, Sahiwal , Baha-u-Deen Zikria University (BZU) sub-campus, Government College of Commerce, Virtual University of Pakistan sahiwal campus, The sub-campus of COMSATS , Government Colleges for Technical Education and of other educational institutions of the Division. Library maintains separate sections for children, ladies, and research scholars, and other scientific and general topics. All and sundry who come to Sahiwal visit this library. More than 300/400 readers daily visit the library in various capacities. Library also organizes seminars, workshops, book fairs and book exhibition throughout the year. Library has a special role in promoting mass educatio in by arranging literacy walks, debates and other such educational activities. People of the area have always appreciated its positive role in imparting educational, information and recreational services to them. It remains open from10:00am to 5:00pm without any break.
