Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal School Education Department, Government of the Punjab DEA Sahiwal A meeting was held on 04.09.2026 under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Social Services) / District Monitoring Officer, Sahiwal in the Committee Room, DC Office, Sahiwal to review and assess the action taken against the absent teaching and non-teaching staff during the months of March, April, and May 2026 as reported by the Monitoring & Evaluation Assistants (M&EAs).
The meeting was attended by the Chief Executive Officer, District Education Authority (CEO, DEA), District Education Officers (DEOs) and Deputy District Education Officers (Deputy DEOs) concerned. The officers briefed the Chair on the cases of absenteeism reported by the M&EAs and apprised him of the departmental action initiated against the officials/employees found absent from their duties.
The Chair thoroughly reviewed the progress made on each reported case and emphasized the need for strict compliance with the prescribed rules, timely disposal of disciplinary proceedings and effective monitoring of staff attendance. The concerned officers were directed to ensure that all cases of unauthorized absence are dealt with strictly in accordance with the applicable government rules and departmental instructions.
The Chair further stressed that regular attendance of teaching and non-teaching staff is essential for the effective functioning of educational institutions and the provision of quality education to students. The concerned authorities were directed to strengthen attendance monitoring mechanisms, ensure accountability and take prompt corrective measures against habitual or unauthorized absenteeism.
The meeting concluded with directions to all concerned officers to ensure timely follow-up of pending cases, maintain proper record of action taken and submit compliance reports within the prescribed timelines.
