Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to share information about our 2-days international conference, entitled “2nd International Conference on Emerging Issues of Information Landscape (ICEIL-2020), which will be conducted on Monday-Tuesday, April 20-21, 2020. Despite, all the odds and a critical situation around the global due to COVID-19, which has stopped normal life, we went through different phases and finally decided to convert the challenge into opportunity. We decided to go ahead and conduct the conference in virtual space. Hence, it will be a virtual conference in the prevailing circumstances, where first time in the field of LIS in Pakistan, presenters and participants will join online through Zoom protocol/software application. The conference can be joined through invitation links that will shared through media. All the fellows are cordially invited to join the conference. A number of papers contributed by researchers from all over the country and international delegates will be presented in this conference. All interested participants will be able to join the conference through invitation links that will be updated live on Facebook, WhatsApp groups and other social media. Participants need to install Zoom application from https://zoom.us/.

Abstract Submissions Closed
We are very thankful to all abstract submitters and Authors for their scholarly contributions for the .
Keeping in view the large number of requests to accept abstract for the ICEIL2020, it is hereby informed that we have already received enough abstracts so abstracts received after the submission deadline will not be considered for the blind review process.
We wish you best of luck.
Furthermore, the authors will be notified for final decision on their submitted abstracts through email after the completion of the blind review process.

Conference Theme: "Building, Connecting and Sustaining Libraries and Societies in Digital Era"
organized by Department of Library & Information Sciences University of Sargodha, Sargodha
Date: April 20-21, 2020
Venue: Noon Auditorium, University of Sargodha
The key focus of the ICEIL2020 is on emerging issues on information landscape in the digital age. It aims to explore the dichotomy in LIS professional and academic practices in the context of developing countries, like Pakistan. It will provide an opportunity and support to information professionals, organizations and researchers to disseminate their experiences.
You all are very cordially invited to share your research in any of the following tracks:
1. Juried Full Paper (4000-6000 words)
2. Best practices and Lessons Learned (2000-2500 words)
3. Poster presentations (1500-2000 words) excluding the references
All authors will submit the structured abstracts up to 350 words excluding references for any of the above three categories. They will follow the following headings: Purpose/Aim, Problem
Statement, Research Design, Key Findings (if applicable), Significance/implications, Key words.
Proposed abstract should include following:
• Author(s) name(s), title, institutional affiliation, and contact information (at least
email of corresponding author)
• Title of the paper
• Abstract (that includes description of the topic, objectives of the study / research
questions, methodology, originality of research and implications).
• Abstract should be up to 350 words.
• Work should be original, not presented prior in any conference, nor published or in process of publication.
After the acceptance of abstract they will submit final power point presentations in the light of reviewers’ comments. Selected full-text papers submitted according to the above word count,
following APA manual 6th edition, will be published as edited book.

Author Guidelines:
Please follow APA Style Manual 6th edition, for preparing manuscript according to the following structure:
Abstract Submission (Structured): Purpose/Aim, Problem Statement, Research Design, Key Findings (if applicable), Significance/Implications, Key words.
Full Paper: Structured Abstract; Keywords (4-6); Background/Introduction; Purpose/Problem Statement; Research Objectives/Research Questions/Hypotheses; Literature Review; Research Design/Methodology; Findings; Discussion; Recommendations and Conclusion; Research Implications.
Important Dates:
Call for Papers: February, 2020
Abstract Submission Deadline: 10th March, 2020
Acceptance Notification: 15th of March, 2020
Submission of Full Papers and Presentations: 2nd April, 2020
Abstract/paper submitted to the conference will go through a blind peer review process. Two referees will review the submissions and papers will be accepted in the light their
recommendations.
Accepted papers shall be included in the conference only if the final presentations/papers are submitted in due timelines.
Criteria for Selection:
All submissions will be double blind peer reviewed against the following criteria:
• Relevance to conference theme
• Clarity, coherence, organization of writing
• Academic or professional merit
• Originality and innovation of the work
Paper publication
• Selected papers may also be published in journals of national and international repute.
• Conference steering committee will have the right for final decision making.
Conference Language
• Official language of the conference is English.
• All papers, abstracts and presentations should be in English. Urdu can be used, where and when necessary only in oral presentation.
