The 11th anniversary of the Lithuanian 🇱🇹 –Polish 🇵🇱 –Ukrainian🇺🇦 Brigade was marked with an official ceremonial roll call bringing together our personnel, partners, friends and distinguished guests.

🥳The celebration included an official formation, during which outstanding service, dedication and commitment were recognized with awards and distinctions presented to deserving members of the Brigade.

🫡It was also a moment to look back at the journey we have shared and, most importantly, to recognize the people and partners that have shaped the Brigade over the past 11 years.

📎Our sincere gratitude goes to all partners, friends, representatives of cooperating institutions and guests who joined us on this special occasion. Your support, cooperation and trust are an important part of our story.

11 years of service. 11 years of cooperation. One Brigade.

To celebrate the 11th anniversary of LITPOLUKRBRIG 🇱🇹 🇵🇱 🇺🇦, we took the celebrations to the football pitch for a friendly tournament with our partners and colleagues.

🏆 Top three:
🥇 19 Lubelska Brygada Zmechanizowana
🥈 Zarząd Terenowy NSZZ Policjantów KMP Lublin
🥉 3 Podkarpacka Brygada Obrony Terytorialnej

The tournament brought together soldiers, uniformed services and partners for a day of competition, teamwork and plenty of good emotions.

Beyond the score, it was a great opportunity to strengthen relationships, build team spirit and celebrate another year of our Brigade together.

⚽ Different teams. Different uniforms. One common goal — stronger cooperation.

11 YEARS — AND A LOT TO BE THANKFUL FOR

An anniversary is not only about looking back.
It is also about the people who have been part of the journey.
As the LITPOLUKRBRIG 🇱🇹 🇵🇱 🇺🇦 marks its 11th anniversary, we have received many messages, greetings and congratulations from our friends, partners, military units and institutions.

Every message has its own words.
Every greeting comes from a different place.

But together, they represent something much bigger — the bonds built through years of cooperation, trust and shared experience.

🤝 To everyone who has taken their time to congratulate our Brigade: thank you a lot.
Your words are more than just anniversary wishes. They remind us that the LITPOLUKRBRIG is part of a wider community of people and nations working together for security, cooperation and peace.

We are proud of the journey so far — and even more grateful for those who have been with us.

🇱🇹 🇵🇱 🇺🇦 Thank you for standing with the LITPOLUKRBRIG.

🕊️ International Day of Peace

Today, on the International Day of Peace, we are reminded that peace is not simply the absence of conflict — it is the foundation on which people, communities and nations can build their future.

For the LITPOLUKRBRIG, peace also means cooperation, trust and standing together in its defence.

🕊️ May peace prevail.

🦅 STRONG GRIFFIN 2026

Different uniforms. Different languages. One battlefield. One mission.

LITPOLUKRBRIG 🇱🇹 🇵🇱 🇺🇦 soldiers are taking part in Exercise Strong Griffin 2026 in Lithuania, alongside troops from Lithuania and other Allied and partner nations.

Held in the Švenčionys region, the Exercise brings together around 2,500 military personnel and 500 pieces of military equipment to train in complex tactical scenarios, including operations in urban and forested terrain.

For LITPOLUKRBRIG, the Exercise is another opportunity to put multinational cooperation into practice — coordinating actions, sharing experience and working together in a rapidly changing operational environment.

🤖 Modern warfare also means mastering new capabilities. Strong Griffin 2026 integrates unmanned systems into training, including reconnaissance, target detection and counter-UAS activities.

For us, interoperability is not just another word in a doctrine.

It is built in the field — through every decision, every manoeuvre and every team working together.

⚔️ 17 SEPTEMBER 1939 — SOVIET INVASION ON POLAND

Two armies. One country between them.

On 1 September 1939, Germany invaded Poland.

Sixteen days later, on 17 September, the Red Army crossed Poland’s eastern border. The country, already fighting the German invasion, was now facing a second military power from the east. The Soviet action followed the secret protocol of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact, which had divided Central and Eastern Europe into German and Soviet spheres of influence.

And then came scenes that became some of the most striking images of September 1939:
German soldiers.
Soviet soldiers.
Meeting on territory taken from Poland.

The photograph captures a reality that words can hardly make more powerful: while Polish soldiers were fighting for their country, German and Soviet forces were meeting on the ground of the state they had jointly attacked and divided. The German–Soviet cooperation and coordination during the invasion are documented by the Institute of National Remembrance.

But 17 September was not only about the battlefield.

It marked the beginning of a Soviet occupation of eastern Poland that lasted almost two years and brought repression, deportations and mass persecution.

🕯️ Today, 17 September is a day of remembrance.

We remember the soldiers who fought on two fronts.
We remember the civilians who became victims of the occupation.
We remember those who were deported, imprisoned and murdered.

History reminds us that peace and sovereignty cannot be taken for granted.

We remember. We honour. We remain vigilant.

⚔️ THE LEGACY WE CARRY

8 September 1514. Orsha.

More than five centuries ago, Grand Hetman Kostiantyn Ostrogski led the forces of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland into one of the most remarkable victories of their time.

But history remembers more than the battlefield.

It remembers leadership when the odds are against you.
Courage when retreat would be easier.
Unity when strength depends on standing together.

Today, the name of Kostiantyn Ostrogski lives on — not only in history books, but also in the hearts of the soldiers of the Lithuanian 🇱🇹 –Polish 🇵🇱 –Ukrainian 🇺🇦 Brigade.

Three nations. One unit. One legacy.

We serve under the name of a commander who understood that victory is never the achievement of one person. It is built by those who stand shoulder to shoulder, trust one another, and remain committed to the mission.

The battlefield has changed.
The weapons have changed.
The centuries have passed.

But the values that define a soldier remain the same.

⚔️ Courage. Leadership. Unity. Duty.

Today, we do not simply remember the victory at Orsha.

We carry its legacy forward.

🏕️ From the Field to the Scouts

LITPOLUKRBRIG 🇱🇹 🇵🇱 🇺🇦 soldiers have recently visited the School of Bulavnykh in Western Europe (Школа Булавних у Західній Европі), where they shared practical knowledge and experience with young scouts.

🩺 Tactical medicine — learning how to provide help when every second counts.
🧭 Navigation — developing the ability to find the right direction and move confidently through unfamiliar terrain.
🤝 Teamwork — putting knowledge into practice and learning to rely on one another.

It was more than a day of training. It was an opportunity to exchange experience, build confidence, and show that useful skills are learned best when you get out there and put them into practice.

Different paths, different experiences — but the same spirit of learning, challenge and teamwork. 🇱🇹 🇵🇱 🇺🇦

🏕️ Training Beyond Routine

LITPOLUKRBRIG 🇱🇹 🇵🇱 🇺🇦 soldiers have recently taken part in a series of practical training activities designed to test various skills — from accuracy and first aid to physical endurance.

🎯 Shooting training challenged concentration and precision.
🩺 Medical training focused on the ability to react quickly and provide assistance when every second matters.
🧗 Climbing activities tested strength, confidence, and teamwork.

Different challenges, different skills — but one common requirement: trust your training and trust your team. 🤝
