UK Defence in Poland

22/09/2026

Gp Capt Chris Brown, UK Defence Attaché to Poland, paid tribute to Allied airmen during a wreath-laying ceremony at Warsaw Rising Museum’s Freedom Park.

In 1944, Poles, Britons, South Africans, Canadians, Australians and Americans flew together to support the Warsaw Uprising. 257 airmen lost their lives during those operations.

Their courage and sacrifice will not be forgotten.

We will remember.

W 82. rocznicę wybuchu Powstania Warszawskiego pamiętamy o odwadze, determinacji i poświęceniu Powstańców, którzy w sierpniu 1944 roku podjęli nierówną walkę o wolność.

Lest We Forget. Pamiętamy.
