Starting from this summer, the world's very first fully electric, emission free (and potentially crewless) container barges will begin operating between and the ! 🇧🇪🇳🇱

The vessels are designed to transport goods around the inland water canals between Antwerp, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Their introduction will help reduce reliance on diesel fuel for moving freight.

The barges are being developed in the Netherlands by Port-Liner, with contributions from funds. Concept below, courtesy of The Loadstar.
