This photo holds great meaning for me. Upon becoming the Aguadilla Commander, I made it a priority to address the rivalry between the National Guard Recruiters and the Active/ AGR recruiters.

Thanks to the collaboration with 1SG Ortiz, the National Guard Company 1SG (now CSM Ortiz), we worked together as colleagues from the start.

Our Community Salutes (OCS) Puerto Rico!

Our Community Salutes of Puerto Rico hosted its Annual High School Enlistee Recognition Ceremony to honor its Class of 2024 high school seniors and their families.

Since 2009, OCS enlistee recognition ceremonies have been held in 25 states by local communities in banquet halls, auditoriums, and sports arenas from New York to California, with tens of thousands of people attending in appreciation of the young men and women of OCS entering military service.

Today, the Miami Battalion leadership and the Aguadilla Recruiting company came together at St. Croix in the Virgin Islands to sign a collaboration partnership with the Government of the Virgin Islands and the Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program. The event was hosted by LTG Maria R. Gervais, the Deputy Commanding General and Chief of Staff of the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command.

The Partnership for Your Success (PaYS) Program is a strategic partnership between the U.S. Army and a cross section of corporations, companies, and public sector agencies. The Program provides America's Soldiers with an opportunity to serve their country while they prepare for their future. PaYS Partners guarantee Soldiers an interview and possible employment after the Army. This unique Program is part of the Army's effort to partner with America's business community and reconnect America with its Army.

Furthermore, LTG Gervais recognized CPT Malave, Christian (Company Commander), SFC Richardson, LaShai (St. Thomas, V.I. Station Commander), and SSG Camacho, Juan (St. Croix, V.I. Station Commander) for the outstanding mission success and overproduction during FY24.

SSG Santiago Jose from Mayaguez Recruiting Station has been recognized for his exceptional contribution to the 2nd Quarter. He is being awarded BDE’s coin on behalf of the BDE CDR COL Rankin. This is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and commitment towards achieving excellence.
